I stayed here for 1 night before my Habitat for Humanity trip and 1 night after the Habitat build. This hotel is a short uber trip from the airport and is right by the beach. There are a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance. 👍. The hotel is older and badly needs to be updated. All of the lights and electricity in the room are managed by a huge breaker box in the room. The shower itself is managed by a breaker (which is a little scary). There is a AC wall unit that can't seem to keep up with the heat and humidity. The front desk staff doesn't speak English so it took awhile to check in and check out. This hotel is pretty cheap (in US $$) so if you are looking for a low budget hotel close to the beach, I'd recommend this place.

We stayed here for the first couple days of our trip....it was chosen for us by another party. Other than the breakfast and location, there wasn't much else noteworthy. The rooms were big, but old: brown tile floors, a table with two plastic chairs, and a small, poorly designed bathroom. The wi-fi did work, so that's a plus. Bed was big, but not particularly comfortable and the pillows were bricks. I will say, it was the best breakfast we had in the 10 days we stayed in Brazil. We ended up going to the Ibis Hotel for our last couple days for the same (or less) price and had a MUCH more comfortable experience.

I've stayed 3 nights in this hotel.
I've found it very clean, good wellcoming staff, good price.
On the beach, nice view.
You can get easily a taxi.
Breakfast included ,asd very good.
My room was clean and new, included bathroom, with good shower.
It's a 3 star hotel - I have payed aroud 80 dollars each night.
It is much better than other 3 star hotels in USA and Europe (plus the breakfast).
You may have more modern hotels in Recife - more than double the price.

Location is fantastic and safe. The beach is across the street with it's own reef's and natural pools made by the tides each day.. Plenty of restaurants and bars my favorite is Pro Voce olde school typical Brazilian/Portuguese cuisine. The Hotel are extremely helpful and friendly and a good place to practice your Portuguese. The breakfast is extensive with colorful Brazilian fruits. If you can get a room facing the beach the views are priceless. A definite winner for your monies at Recife Praia.

Quite possibly the worst hotel you could imagine.

In its defence, the staff are friendly and helpful, the wifi works and the breakfast is good, but that is where the positives end.

The bedrooms are hopelessly dated, resembling a bad dream from the 1970s, and the facilities do not even meet basic requirements.

Firstly, there is no hot water from the taps in the bathroom. The hot water tap is locked.

When I made this point to the reception, the response was that 'there is hot water in the shower, but not in the sink. This is normal in Brazil.'

No, it isn't. No hot water in the sink?!

The shower was about four thin jets of water and it almost flooded the bathroom.

There is no safe in the room, the air conditioning doesn't work and the television is more No-definition that hi-definition.

Most hotels are fine for a one night stopover, but if you cannot even rely in hot water for a shave in the morning, time to look elsewhere and that is definitely the best advice when looking at this place.

Breakfast good.
Good breakfast. View of the Beach Pina cool. Excellent location in the Beach of Good Trip especially if you are working in Recife. Maintenance of sanitary tap deficient. The attendance at the reception needs further training to the tourist. Occurs which is a profile for hotel workers and events ....
To get some refreshments and meals next to the hotel there is a very nice restaurant and good service.

Perhaps this was a good hotel when it opened but after 30 years (I'm guessing) it's surely time to upgrade facilities. The air conditioner was useless (blew out hot air) but made enough noise to turn the room into a factory floor. We had to open the window instead so ended up getting eaten alive by mosquitos and other bugs. The wi fi was intermittent and when it showed up was barely functional. The bathroom was old with a rusting ceiling. The service on reception was poor. We arrived having paid in advance for both nights. But they could not find the paperwork and refused to turn over the key until we gave them another credit card. This went on for 20 minutes until they discovered their mistake. There was no apology but just a remark to the effect that we should have booked directly with the hotel rather than through the website we used.

The location of this hotel is very good at the beach. The walkways are opposite to the hotel, and beach can be easily accessed. Rooms are a bit outdated but everything works well. Wireless network was very good, breakfast selection with fruit and omelette was very nice, and the pool area is very nice. One of the South America's biggest malls (Rio Mar) is very close to the hotel too. All personnel were very polite. Most of them did not speak any English though. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again if I needed a room in Recife later.

While the rooms in this hotel are far from luxurious they are certainly adequate and more than compensated for by the good location, great views of the ocean, excellent breakfast and, above all, friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Those who spoke English were a pleasure to deal with and those who couldn't were always quick to find someone who could. We stayed here twice in quick succession for two nights each and everything ran smoothly from check in to check out. We left the majority of our luggage with them for two days and it was safe and secure. The whole hotel feels safe, with the lobby doors kept closed and permanently attended. Taxis are easy to come by and local buses can be caught very easily from a bus stop just a couple of hundred metres away. We caught the local bus to Olinda for R$3 each and had a great day out. We had a meal in the pool bar one evening and found the quality of food to be excellent and the price reasonable. If you need to stay in Recife and a luxury room is not your first priority then I would recommend this hotel. Just a couple of minor irritations - in our first room, 903 I think, the windows rattled badly in the wind and kept us awake (until we wedged a book in the gap) and they need to turn off the dinger in the lift after 10pm, as it's very loud and can be heard in any nearby rooms every time the lift arrives and departs!
