We booked The Shore Hotel & Residences over National Day Holiday and got played out by the owner because we arrived at the property late. Had to search frantically for another available unit. We were lucky to have found one after an hour. The 3 bedroom apartment is spacious but the unit we took was not aired so the air felt a little stale. Location of the property is not really convenient.

The good things are, it is just next to the mall, altho it is not a big mall with limited outlets but still with sufficient F&B. 7-Eleven and 99 Speedmart are just nearby at the shop area.

If you bring the kids, certainly they will enjoy the waterplay area located at the 9th floor. No separate towel will be provided so bring your own one.

The slightly disappointing sides are.. there are over 30 floors (if not wrong) but only 6 lifts available, so you may expect longer waiting time during peak hours and during public holidays with more people staying.

The room we stayed overall is OK, but housekeeping need to improve as we found it was quite dusty at the tables and cupboard.

If you are driving, there are free parking at Level 4 onward, the lift lobby to this hotel is nearby pillar A10 (look for it).

I have stayed and been to almost all the 3 and 4 stars hotels in Bandar hilir Malacca areas. The Shore hotel is the best with its great facilities ie. 2 big swimming pools outdoor and indoor, big gym and spacious suites/ 3 room apartments to choose from.

It is strategically located at the most of the tourist attractions places in Malacca like the Jonker street, St Paul church and the A Famosa historical forts etc. Beautiful views from the.room and the Sky Tower at the top of the hotel with shopping mall, the Ocenarium and other attractions below it. Overall I had good and pleasant stay always here with great hospitality and assistance from the hotel staff at the Front office especially from Mr Helmi and the house keeping staffs. Thank you.

An unpleasant stay in The shore hotel. Before i check-in to the hotel, I call the hotel to confirm the booking because i will b checking in late and it rings for so many times, finally, a staff name (Fikri) picks up my call, and when I say Hello he hang up my call. I call again and ask why you hang up my call and he says he didn't hear my voice, A professional guest service agent shouldn't hang up the call until the guest hangs up.
When I arrive at the hotel around 8;15 PM the guest service agent who pick up my call (Fikri) assist me with the check in process. He mention that due to RMCO and the room attendant will not make my bed but will change and refill the amenities upon request. i stay in other hotel during RMCO but i do not have the same issue here. Other than that, I'm staying for 4 nights and he only gave us 1 room key card, and mention there are 23 more rooms havent check in yet. i asked him so you only have 23 more room key card left ? and he answer YES ! Well i don't believe a 4 star rating hotel have that less amount of key card left obviously he is Lieing. After that the Supervisor came in ( Mr Toh) and i bring up this issue to him and he ask Fikri to give an additional key to me. I hope the hotel can send Fikri for related training.

The location of the hotel is above the shopping mall but the shopping mall is quiet and not many shops are open, it is convenient to buy amenities or snacks but shopping is not a strategic location.

The Facility is sharing together with Swiss garden hotel and the residence. A lot of people are using the facility especially the swimming pool are full of people everyday.

On Thursday night 24/9/2020 there are a huge amount of people queing up to check in at the lobby and the hotel hire Rela to block 2 of their elevator for them. There are in total 4 elevator in the hotel and 1 of it are out of order, 2 of the that a re block by them and left 1 can be used. i waited for 30 minutes for the lift and finally there's is 1 open and is the block lift so i enter the lift and the Rela asked me are we going up and we say Yes, initially we are going down. Then when we reach the top floor and i said I'm going down, the Rela scold us and say i thought u say going up? and i scold back if i don't say that i need to wait how long for the lift , because u block it, and he just keep quite.

Overall my experience here is really bad, and i wont stay here anymore

Stayed here on weekdays as I'm avoiding weekend crowd. No problem with the lift. Everything is smooth. The room is super nice, clean & cozy. They provide bath towels, toothbrush, soap bar, shampoo & shower gel only. Free indoor parking. Nice view day & night. Everything in the room works perfectly. Will definitely come again but only on weekdays 🤭🤭💙💙

We stayed for 11 days and would strongly advise the management to update and repair this property. The maintenance to the building is appalling, there is algae in the swimming pools and several large holes in the ceiling above the infinity pool that has mould and is dripping into the pool. A room on floor 13a had water dripping out into the corridor, another room which was left unlocked as not being used was just full of damp and mould, so there is clearly a water seepage issue in the whole building. There were lots of people wearing orange t-shirts with 'Cleaner' written on them, but very little cleaning was being done. The lifts need and engineer to reprogram them, the wait time is very long, there's no point in putting a sign up to tell people to be patient during busy times when clearly they need reprogramming. On the positive side its a good location, with easy access to Jonker street.

I do not recommend this hotel
In the detail of the room, there is a microwave, no microwave …
There is a hot plate, but no frying pan or saucepan and even less crockery, glass or cutlery
A stained and very dirty piece of sofa
There are only 4 elevators for 41 floors but used by the service where the garbage cans, the laundry bins, etc. pass with the customers.
And the parking is paying, despite the description of the hotel
The hotel is located in a shopping center
Which is empty, many shops closed
Hotel does not correspond to the announcement for services, no wifi, if you like very cold water, go to the swimming pool….
To flee !!!!

We stayed for 2 nights recently and were very disappointed. Upon check in we were told there is no housekeeping service, the washing machine and the oven don’t work and there is no wifi.

When we got to the room, it smelt stale and there were lots of stains on the sofa. The tv didn’t work and after looking around we discovered more stains on the walls. The furniture was tacky and the place seemed dated and worn out.

The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are even worse.

We paid GBP 100 a night and can honestly say it was not good value for money. Fortunately we were out sightseeing for most of the time so spent little time in the room.

Would never stay there again and do not recommend it to anybody.

The hotel failed to inform in advanced to their customers that there is no in-room entertainment prior to their bookings. There is no tv channels to watch! Only poor quality picture of tv2 and tv3 were available. Not even a cup of tea voucher or whatsoever that they offered to compensate the customers disappointment after learning this matter upon check in. What a joke. Avoid this hotel until they fix their tv channels. Even budget dormitories got satellite channel.
