Such fab experience - quaint boutique resort with private salt water pool. Hosts/Owners - Sean & Natasha were so accommodating and ensured we were comfortable. Very relaxing instagramable picturesque garden setting, yummy breakfast, tea & coffee by Elizabeth

This is a hidden treasure. The grounds were so lovely, surrounded by lush greenery. I booked 4rooms for 10pax. Rooms were all very rustic, decorated with vintage pieces. Rooms n toilets were soundproof. Pool was well shaded. The common room was great for family bonding. Sean n Natasha were so hospitable, blessed to be acquainted with them. Prepared tea break with local delights when we arrived. Breakfast was fantastic as well. I had 6 pieces of homemade puri with dal!!! Ondeh ondeh, nasi lemak, kueh kosui were delightful too. Location is very central. Walkable to makan places, makhota area n jonker I can't rave enough of this piece of colonial haven. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this gem of a hotel an infinity out of five, I most certainly would. Let's start off with the incredible hosts, Sean and Natasha with their son Ryan. From the minute we booked, we instantly got a WhatsApp message confirming our stay and Sean going out of his way, informing us of the parking arrangements, etc etc. Then came the day of arrival with Sean greeting us with a lovely cooling drink made from Chinese herbs. As mentioned, from the minute we arrived to the day we left, there was constant care over our stay, recommendations over what we should eat and try around Melaka (this was so so valuable for my family considering we are vegetarians) and lastly, our overall understanding and appreciation for Melaka's history. We loved your service and hospitality and look forward to coming back ASAP! Oh, and how can I forget the soundproofing provided in all of the chalets. Your doors are absolutely fantastic and my family and I ended up sleeping like freaking babies in your residence. We just got back to KL and already hate all the noise hahaha. THINGS TO NOTE Keep in mind that this is not your generic hotel. Don't come here expecting commercial hotel experiences like Marriot and expect in room dining and housekeeping and whatnot. This is a boutique residence of another class entirely and honestly, in my opinion, can be seen as a home way from home. If you're up for the change, then I absolutely highly highly recommend. Also a big big shout out to Elizabeth who made us such a lovely breakfast for both the days we were there. We left with our eyes full, stomachs well fed and hearts warm. Miss you loads Sean and Natasha ❤ Lots of love, Ramki, Ranjana and Chinmayi.

The deal with manager was invalid, although we have told upfront about possible replacement of 1 room (out of 4) since one our of our family member couldnt come, and they agreed with that. They said it was OK. So we took 3 rooms. 1 king, 1 garden, 1 family. Price range? Myr850 for king and garden each. Myr950 for family. Only to know later (when we back in KL), they called us, that the last room (family room) was as good as 2 king rooms. So they told us there will be no replacement for that 1 last king room. They also mention, to make up to that no-replacement stay, they actually have no lunch, but they provided us lunch anyway. So kind right? Guess its just a bad business there that day, for whatsoever reason. Poor management, makes the stay felt was NOT right.

Room Tip: Manager in place is not straight forward. All of the sudden got HQ in KL to instruct otherwise.

Dear Encik Faizal Thank you for your review. We were only informed that one of the chalets would not be taken up upon the arrival of your group. And since your mother in law was in a wheel chair we happily told your wife that a swap could be made. We left the biggest chalet at your disposal which is equivalent to two smaller chalets. We did inform your wife of this but she still insisted on a voucher to compensate for your sister in law who did not turn uo. We acceded to her demands and sent the voucher from oir KL office. We sent it through wats app to ypur wife's handphone at 8.47pm on 7 Feb 2022. If this is not through please prove it otherwise. AS for lunch we gave it out of our own free will as your mother in law was in a wheel chair and invalid. Didnt realize that this kind act of humanity would be contorted and manipulated in your review. You also failed to mention that your whole family enjoyed the lunch so much all of you ate till 2.00pm way beyond the check out time of 12pm. Our staff really had to work speedily to get our chalets ready for the next guests. In conclusion you complained that our office was in KL but that is not the point, as the voucher was issued and delivered to you. You trivialised our genuine act of kindness but still nevertheless ate up all the lunch and overstayed by 2 hours. We do hope however to engage you and your wife in communication to actually understand what is it that your were unhappy about. What we do know however is that we will not allow such guests and reviews get us down or discourage us from hosting wonderful guests from all the far flung corners of the world. We love what we do and we do it with Love kindness and sincerity.

We had one of the best time in Malacca at this lovely historical residence. The whole place is gorgeous with its salt water pool (great for the hair and skin!), comfortable & clean rooms and best of all, THAT beautiful garden (great job Natasha!). Literally every corner is a photo booth :) We had the whole place to ourselves for a group of 10 pax and totally enjoyed the space and privacy. Definitely recommended for a large group as you can book the whole place - 4 rooms in total, up to 14 pax comfortably. Food was in abundance as they provide breakfast (nasi lemak, roti canai, local snacks) & tea time with variety of local kuihs (Thanks Sam for the French Press coffee too!). The hosts also managed to arrange a bbq dinner at our request which was lovely; and they were so friendly and accommodating through out. It feels like you're away on a beach resort somewhere with all the greens and rustic deco but you're actually right smack in the city. Thanks Sam & Natasha! We had such a great time there. Hope to see you guys soon in the near future!

Tucked away from the bustle yet so easy to walk to the main attractions of Malacca town. A delightful property owned and run by Sam and Natasha. Comfortable rooms. Great hospitality. Verdant garden. Our group booked out the whole place and had a whale of a time.

We are just coming back from Casugria and had a great time there. Sam and Natasha welcomed us like they would welcome their own children and grandchildren. The place is very pretty, well kept, the beds are good, the garden is gorgeous, the pool (salted water) refreshing. Sam and Natasha were helpful all through our stay. They understood our needs with our 3 young children. We had nice chats which is always a pleasure to understand each other's cultures (we live in KL but we are from France). Thank you very much for your warm welcome. A warm thank you also to your son for his delicious breakfast. Take care and ... see you soon!

A gem tucked away at the edge of town. Lovely pool and comfortable room. Sam, Natasha and Ian were great hosts. If I were to comment on one thing and that is the cooked breakfast was already set out and was cold by 9 when breakfast was meant to start, and should be served to the guests hot.

A beautiful set up within walking distance of the shopping areas in Dataran Palawan and the Stadhuys area. The cosy rooms and beautiful gardens provided an oasis for the 8 of us over the last 2 days. Tea was refreshing in the afternoon and was served with a range of local cakes. Breakfast was also generous and catered to all our tastes. Well done. The pool also provided for a respite from the afternoon humidity. Nice. Well worth a visit.
