The room was excellent with a nice view of straits of Malacca. Only noticed that after shower thevwatet was stagnant and unable to flow out fast enough and toilet roll holder keep dropping off. Reservation and check out was quick however there were long queue at the lifts towards the car park. Overall experience was nice.

One of my best experiences stay with this hotel in Melaka. I have been stayed at many hotels 4* and 5 * in Melaka during my short trips, but this one was last minute booking without checking any reviews out there. I was so impressed with room. Its big, clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom has all the amenities and bath towels are super clean. Morning breakfast was a lot of choice , western and asian, local and chinese. There many options menu to eat at buffet. Team was very facilitating . Is worth for every penny and the money has been paid for such facility , i am so impressed . I will definitely will be coming back soon .

New hotel in town. Spotless clean room, friendly staff, blazing fast WiFi, great breakfast with western and asian menus.
The best of all, enjoyed the Skydeck 360 panorama view of Malacca town and Strait of Malacca from the 44th floors.
It is free for all guests to enjoy the view and even watching the sun sets later in the evening.

No regrets! Staff are all friendly. Room is clean and comfy. The view from room (sea view) is OK. In house guests can access SKYDECK @ Level 44 at no cost! Breakfast (buffet) has a wide variety to choose from.

Staying for 1 night during a weekend in this hotel. First impression from the front desk not very well. The staff not really keen to entertain a guest for check-in process. No smiling face and no welcome greet. (Not all staff).
Once enter the room, I noticed something is missing in the room. Doesn't feel like entering a new and nice hotel. So dull and not welcoming at all.
Since this is a new hotel, I noticed the table in the room was not properly handle and clean. There is a white patch (paint remove) on the coffee table and the main desk. It's pity to see this kind of thing since this is newly hotel. Not properly maintain.
It's seem very difficult to use the wifi in these hotel. I tried so many times to register the username and password for the wifi given by the frontdesk but it doesn't work at all. Tried to call 5 times the front desk but no answer. Very disappointed. End up, I did not use the hotel wifi throughout my stay.
Cleanliness of the room not very good. I saw a piece of onion skin on the floor. Very surprising. Dust underneath the sink on the water pipe in the toilet clearly can be seen when sitting on the toilet bowl.
No teaspoon or stirrer in the room for me to stir the nescafe when making hot water. I guess the housekeeping doesn't check properly before leaving the room after cleaning.
During workout in the fitness center, I noticed the hotel management only prepare the glass mug instead of paper cup for a guest to drink a water which I don't feel comfortable at all. I suggest, hotel management to look into this matter seriously. I wonder the cleanliness of the mug left in the room for other guest to use.
The pool staff is busy playing with the handphone which I think this is not an appropriate behavior for the hotel staff to do during working.
After the pool staff turn on the steam breaker for the steam room, seem like the hotel having problem with the steam room system. I wait for half an hour inside the steam room but the steam doesn't fill the entire room. It's very frustrated. Steam coming out from the piping system for a few minutes and then stop. Continue pump out the steam again after stop awhile and then stop again.
Breakfast was good even though not much variety of food to be chosen. The restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly.
Overall, I would say there is plenty of room need to be improved by the hotel management especially when involving the hotel staff.
Take Thailand as a close example. Very friendly and always giving a smiling face when talking to a guest.

This is the second time I am writing a review for this nice hotel. In truth, this is one perfect hotel from among so many in the beautiful city of Melaka. There are so many nice hotels in Melaka, which I have seen and written a review about them, but this particular establishment is quite wonderful in my humble opinion. First of all, it is new, very nicely decorated, and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The bathroom area is very well designed, so that you have ample espace to do whatever you wish, in the bathroom area, while the shower room with tropical shower is big and clean and effective, with definitely good hot water (unlike some expensive hotels, with most disappointingly lukewarm water). The mirror is nicely designed and the room is well furnished with even a sofa and a coffee table. The beds, make you really sleep well at night, while the pillows are hard and clean and crispy. The sheets are very nice to touch and you have a huge TV screen in front of the beds (twin beds) or bed (king size). The mirror is very big and rectangular, so that you can use it well (I refer to the ladies, of course!). There is a new safebox in every room and each time I return to this hotel, I feel the same sentiment of ease and serenity and content. The sea view is very nice, although there are a few construction sites near the beach, and another huge building, which is under construction, most unfortunately. If it were not for the great amenities of the rooms and the beauty of the blue sea at large, those sceneries would have repelled many a tourist. However it is not this hotel's fault, if there are construction sites around it. As usual, the parking lot is fairly good, having been built from 5th to 10th floor. You have to turn around and around and around to reach it, and not succomb to dizziness. And there are never empty espaces on the 5th floor, but we have gotten used to it by now... We just ascend to a higher level... We have come here many a time. However, some of the amenities offered to the travelers have been reduced inside the rooms. Such as the soap. Usually two soaps were in the bathroom for each person. Now only one soap. Who will use it? And such a small soap! The water bottles were 4, I believe, and now only two. There is no balance inside the bathroom anymore and no added toilet paper. These things may seem insignificant, but at the end of the day, you see that they are. However the air cond is excellent as ever. The breakfast buffet is also very good, but again, with lesser choices of offered dishes. There are no curry chicken or any kind of chicken or fish anymore. Not a variety in hot dishes. Just some kew tiao, or spicy noodles, sausages, eggs, beans, boiled vegetables, ayam bubur and then some croissant, some buns and puddings, along with some fruits and salad. Why the great variety of dishes has been reduced to a mere western breakfast? I dont know. Then again, there are very good, polite and smiling employees at the restaurant, who make us feel among old friends. People such as Mr. Mohammad Fazdli, Mr. Rizwan, and among ladies, Dorothy or Kamuna and some other young ladies or young men, whose names I dont know but whom I see every time and return back their smiles. Everyone among the employees is polite. And last but not least is the very polite, the very serious and the very friendly and most kind : Mr Chow Chern, who is the head manger of the reception desk and who runs this whole area with great "savoir faire" as would say the French and who always behaves very professionally and kindly, wanting and doing his best to make the travelers really enjoy themselves, as far as he is concerned, and as as far as he can provide this comfort to them, with his willingness to act for their well being. I congratulate this hotel for employing such nice and young persons, man or woman, giving them this chance to prove their good abilities and their great talents! All the reception desk area employees, such as Mr Hizami or another Chinese young man, and the young ladies are wonderful and discreet. And then again, our good friend, Mr Andrew, who is a jewel in kindness and joviality and caring for the others. I have not had the chance to meet the new manager, unfortunately, who must be a shy person. The last manager was wonderful, coming out of his office to greet you and chat and exchange a few words with old customers. The employees attending to the lifts are also very polite and discreet. All in all, always a very pleasing experience to come back to this very nice, "chic" and modern hotel. In fact, no traveler will ever be disappointed, I believe, by choosing this hotel. The only point to take into consideration is the distance of this hotel from Jonker Street or Mahkota Parade. You most certainly need to have a car. Of course, you can always call Grab. - Dirty Pool - Gym Equipment not working except of the treadmill. -Breakfast : the bun is cold, suggest to get a steamer ( there is no way, people will eat cold bun) - Nasi Lemak sort of some standare ingredient and we are in Malaysia where Nasi Lemak should be good. - The room looks clean but have doubt about it after seeing the dirty stain on the pillow case, Did your wash the casing after each customer check out?

Stayed here for new year eve. Impromptu. Swimming pool was good. Room carpet 1404 was quite unsanitized. There was unpleasant smell and should be cleaned. I ended up bringing my own anti bacterial spray sanitizer. It was also unacceptable that my second room had cockroaches and this showed how much of cleaning needs to be done.
Staffs, were very helpful and excellent. Staffs were alert and very approachable, greet customers and smiley. Very good.
The most biggest disappointment i really want to highlight here is the room service food. I have ordered the NZ steak and for RM 75 medium well quality of how the chef did his job.. taking into consideration 5* Hatten Place.. was really disappointing. I ordered the porridge and the gingers was way too much. Not much variety for the room service menu, and i went for breakfast seriously the mee goreng was really horrible. The smell was already unpleasant. I only have big disappointments about your food. Hatten Place really need to look on the quality of not just the presentation of food, but how its cooked and taste is most important. Please solve your cockroaches issues.
Otherwise because staffs was all very good and pool was good, i still give this 4*. Please improve on your menu options to have like mac n cheese for the kids, and more.

Stayed only for 1 night, for business trip..room is quite small in size (with 2 single beds). Visitors might opt a bigger room for longer stay. Only basic toiletries provided, only shower cap and sanitary bag (other than shower gel, lotion and shampoo). Room is clean. You can also choose pillow type you want.

Both Deluxe and Superior plus have connecting room options however we have very limited Superior plus rooms. Both categories have sea views as well. connecting rooms are subject to availability, please include this request when making your booking.
