There were 7 of us and we booked 3 rooms of different types. One with window but no view, one without any window and another huge suite with a balcony. Overall they are all nice and clean and the one with the balcony overlooking the river is really nice and spacious and can easily fit 3 or max 4 persons. The hotel is within walking distance to Jonker Walk. The hotel provides a limited parking space on a small dead end alley nearby but just opposite that alley is a private paid parking which is much better for RM 15 overnight parking. Breakfast is sufficient and nice. Will definitely stay here again considering the location and the price.

Charming hotel. There is a back door to the Malacca River. There is a Halal coffee shop (Makan Avenue) that sells great chendol. Short walk to Jonker Street. Great escape from the noise of trishaw music blaring (except for very occasional ones) and yet close enough to walk to Jonker Street.
Cons - No lifts, ask for ground floor if you have challenges to climb/ carry luggage upstairs. Walls not very soundproof. Very soft bed (too soft for me, but it's subjective).

Good location, closeby all interesting sites (Jonker street, temples clock tower) within walking distances. Room large, clean and bed offering good sleep. Quiet location. Free HotelParking nearby or large public parking available just at the corner of the building block.

The place is really lovely and has a lot of character. It’s good value as it’s at the heart of the old town. It’s walking distance to an old temple to we went there for a visit and light some joss sticks. Our room in on the ground floor and doesn’t have a window so not subject to the noise outside the building. The floor and tiled and not carpeted so it’s a little cold for the feet. As our room is connected to another room. The noise coming from another room is quite evident. Would come here again.

Stayed in the superior suite for 3 nights last week. Had an awesome stay. Seri at the reception was warm, friendly and helpful. We had some lovely giggles. And her colleagues were equally lovely and helpful.
Room was large and spacious. Very comfy bedding and the black out drape helped to get a good night sleep.
Beautiful nyonya style interior almost 100 years old. The place is very close to the Jonker street yet quiet at night.

Totally will stay here stain.

Very friendly staff and in a great location. However the room had no window to the outdoors which was not described. The room was also quite dated. The pool was out of order also. Overall an ok stay but I would not return if I was visiting Malacca again.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family of 6 in a family & double. This is one of the newer restored peranakan houses in Melaka. Tastefully done. Breakfast was simple & decent. Just enough to start the day & leave room for the rest of good food nearby. Location is good, it’s in the quieter part of the heritage town & yet within walking distance to the Jonker night market.

Request for ground floor room if you have heavy luggage or folks with difficulty climbing stairs. There’s no elevator to the upper floor.

Our first stay in Melacca. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. Advised on places of interest and local eating places. Rooms were clean and tidy and serviced daily to a high standard. Our room had a technical hitch with the air con leaking on the bed and we were quickly upgraded to the honeymoon suite. Thank you. The only real issue we had was the water in the showers. Management need to look at these urgently as clients are either being frozen or scalded as it is just about impossible to keep the temperature at the point you set it. The hotel is on the river and back from Jonker Street so is reasonably quiet. Breakfast whist simple was varied every day and quite satisfactory. They have no juice at the breakfast so we just took our own. Would I stay here again? Yes but I would be asking if the shower issue has been rectified.

Building is amazingly beautiful, both from the inside and outside, right in the middle of the old city center by the river banks. Nicely decorated bedrooms, mattress was great and very quiet . Breakfast was served on the ground floor, in the middle of an indoor patio. We could order some hot items ( eggs any style, sausage, pancake...) and toasts with butter and jam available. Do not expect a huge buffet, choice is limited, but for us it was more than enough ! Swimming pool on the first floor overlooking the river was just amazing to cool down after a long day walk ! There are no sunloungers around the pool, but you don t really go to Melaka to stay the whole day in the swimming pool.

Amazing historic interior touch and location are near Jonker too. Swimming Pool are awesome like mini infinity pool where you can enjoy the riverside view as well. There's a backdoor to the riverside kinda cool so no need to circle around to get into the hotel room if you coming back late from jonker (since front lobby hotel are close at 12am) hehe..Breakfast DAMN good.. love it

Hi stayed on sunday night, there were only 3 couples of guest with us the same night, so i would say its pretty quiet in the hotel itself regardless of near or away from stairs. However, i would not recommend "street view" for light sleeper.

Are there any windows in the Family Room?
Answer from Mindy L

Hi Nnixx, there is no windows in the family room. For family room with window, you can go with the Grand Suite, it come with 1 king bed and 1 2-seater sofa bed. The Grand Suite has a private balcony overlooking the Melaka river.
