Detailed Reviews
Stayed 1 night in this little boutique hotel. We love the old design and layout of the building. Each room is uniquely decorated. Howevever, the room's general cleanliness can be improved because the bed frame and side tables were a little dusty. Otherwise it was a good stay at a perfect location.

The whole mansion was like a mini museum itself (seems like it’s indeed the case with the boutique hotels across the town. The place was spotless clean. They let us check in earlier and even gave us an upgrade (which was very appreciated!) with a lovely four poster bed and spacious open plan bathroom but has 2 sliding divider doors (maybe some conservative people would find it a little shy to do their business-not like we’re complaining! We loved it!) Bathroom had a long table so you could put all your stuffs.. It could get a little noisy when people were passing by or kids running around since the wall were rather thin but it couldn’t be helped with the fact that the mansion were so old and it definitely didn’t stop us from enjoying the place to our heart content! staffs were all friendly and nice and location were perfect with a lot of restaurants and museums nearby and It’s only an alley away from jonker street which could be noisy and dirty with the weekend night market! Booking ahead is recommended especially if you’re traveling during the weekend since it get booked out very fast!
A lot of good food nearby too. Try the restaurant few houses up the road (from courtyard turn left) name [peranakan mansion 僑生府) their peranakan food was to die for! We had the best cendol in Malacca there (we tried cendol in a lot of places!) and the restaurant next door [the baboon house] had good burgers and omelette. Super recommend the two places!

We were over at Melaka to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We told the hotel about our anniversary, they took the effort to decorate the room for us with rose petals on the bed :D! What a lovely touch by the hotel. Our room is clean, cozy and nicely design. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is located right in the heart of Melaka old town so this makes walking around the historical town a breeze!

11 years after my first review when the hotel first opened, I returned to this boutique hotel. Of course a lot has changed and we were put into the extended block which did not exist a decade ago. Breakfast was no longer available in the hotel as you need to walk to a nearby restaurant for it.
Due to the RMCO, the hotel was very quiet. Our room was upgraded and we stayed in a huge room that had no windows. The layout of the room looked promising but upon closer inspection, we found a hole in the ceiling, cracked walls, a shower door that sounded like it's going to break, a broken eyehole on the door. The keycard was no longer in use (this wasn't the case back then) and we struggled opening the door with our key. There are only 2 channels on the TV.
Sleep was okay but I do doubt that the sheets were changed due to my observation on a stained pillowcase that remained even after room service done.
The hospitality from the staff was still there but it's really time for an upgrade. It would be a shame too see this gem loses its charm.

It’s a short holiday for me and my husband visiting from Singapore and we are glad that we found the little gem of a hotel that is Courtyard@ Heritage! We wanted to have the experience of living in an old vintage Peranakan styled shophouse and this was it! It still has the charms of little touches of Peranakan heritage in the front of house/lobby and within each room, and the modern facilities of clean bed and toilets/ baths. We are glad that good food is around every corner from the hotel! No lifts in this place though, so take note if you need lift access.
Literally next door to Baboon House, same street with Gravy Baby, Ah Ma Hao Liao and next to Jonker Walk. Location is amazing and room was clean! Quiet hotel.
Only thing was that we had to ask them to change the bedsheets because there were some stains in it ( maybe due to old sheets) but they did change it immediately with 1-2 hours we went out for lunch! No hassle and they have helpful staff!

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always nice to come back to smiling faces greeting us.
The location couldn't be better, it was easy to keep coming back to take short breaks (toilet breaks/ elderly parents wanted to rest their legs) just because it was so conveniently located near jonker street.
Courtyard definitely felt like home and we would love to return if we visit Malacca again!

The Courtyard at Heeren is really well located just about 100 yards from Jonkers Street but what really stood out was the service we got from reception. I needed to join a long Zoom meeting and they couldn't have taken more trouble to find me the best place to do this from to get good Wifi. It's probably worth paying the premium to get one of the better rooms if you can afford it. We got the last room available as it was a busy period and would have liked a slightly bigger room - that's the only reason I can't give a 5.

we stayed here as having event at zheng he academy and plan to just walk there. love all about it. we stayed at executive suite, comfortable enough for me, husband and 4yo child as got 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed too. and small balcony.
great part is that they have reserved parking in front so you can unload there and then a staff will bring you to dedicated parking at the back. i dont mind the short walk to the parking lot.

We booked a deluxe room after reading positive reviews on line and a recommendation in Rough Guides. We paid £150 for a 3day weekend before Xmas as part of our month- long tour of Malaysia.
The first room we were given smelt damp and musty and had no window. We asked for another and it was just the same. We accepted the third room as it was not damp or musty - but gas no window. These rooms are being mis described. There is no mention anywhere about the lack of window. All the rooms were very small.
In the end we decided we could not stay there and moved on - losing our money. I have travelled extensively all over the world including numerous trips to Asia. My standards are not unreasonably high and have never moved on from a hotel before.
The reception area is very stylish and the location is good. But if you stay here, then do not pay a high rate and be prepared not to have a window.

It was an impromptu trip to Melaka. We booked this hotel just hours before reaching Melaka. Love the deco at the entrance; authentic and unique. Check-in process was smooth. The room itself was quite basic. The location was great just couple of steps away from the Jonker Street. Service wise was excellent, the hotel assistant hopped into the car to direct us to the parking area, located at the back of the hotel. Not much selection during breakfast, but adequate. Nice, simple stay for 1 night.

There was no mosquito wen we went there end of March but there was no rain. They are taking care that AAC is working well.
Sorry for late reply. Carpark is really not an issue. Is the hotel that not well maintain
I’m sure they are. You could call the hotel to be sure
I dont think so. The executive suit have it
it's a little far, need to walk about 15 minutes to a public parking area. the hotel though provide free parking for it's guests but there's no free shuttle service to the car park. parking is at your own risk.
