Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Jonker Street is around the corner. Available parking at the back of the hotel. Beautifully decorated hotel with peranankan theme. Excellent service with attention to details. Only downside is the rooms are very soundproof. Could hear the morning prayer call. Limited cable TV channels.

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my elderly mom. The hotel was impeccable 1. Interior was on point 2. The location was brilliant esp for my aged mom to visit Jonkers street less than 500m from the hotel and yet get back to the hotel for a rest. 3. It had brilliant service 4. Breakfast was good and hearty Staff not to mention were all warm and welcoming. Special mention to nazir Here are some feedback 1. Pls update and write in to google maps that the turning coming out from your hotel , google maps suggest a left turn but that junction is a no left turn. Ive seen numerous non melaka number plates making a left turn into the one way street ie dangerously wrong. 2. Your carpark can be better lit and have clear signages. Getting into your carpark at night w no lighting from street lamps is very tricky.

To arrive in a hotel and feel like being at home from the moment you walk in is rather special. I picked Liu Men Malacca as it had the richness of the Pernakan homes I was expecting. The decor and the building aptly complemented the staff who were most accommodating and welcoming. If I was to pick one thing for improvement, it’d have to the breakfast bar, just a little more attention to detail and the place will mostly be of 5 star rating.

It's really a home away from home for my husband and I. We love how the staff responded to our queries and always cheerful! The restored building is beautifully done and Wonderfully decorated. Our room has all that we require and even free drinks and snacks were provided. The breakfast was more than sufficient and so delicious! it's a great hotel to explore the historic district of Melaka. My only peeve is that the fitted light's tassel I. the bathroom gets caught in the hair dryer when I use it! The dryer's cord is not long enough and the light blocks the mirror! thankfully I didn't damage the light nor the hair dryer :) We will definitely return to stay!

This hotel was in a fantastic location in the heart of Melaka - so it was very convenient to come in and out of the hotel constantly in between shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel is very nice and has lots of character with nice paintings etc. We stayed in the Kapital room on ground floor which was very large and bathroom was also large and bed was very comfortable. The free snacks and drinks was also a nice touch. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was OK, just need to get there earlier so that when they make the food it is warm. The staff were super friendly and helpful - and also organised transport to next destination at a very reasonable price - the staff were perfect. The cleanliness was excellent. The hotel rooms itself were very quiet - the only annoyance was people in the carpark at the back which was just outside our room late at night constantly letting off fireworks - ideally security should be able to get them to go away considering it is illegal to let off fireworks. The other issue in the room was the power kept disconnecting and connecting making a loud noise each time and meaning one needed to manually put the air conditioning back on each time which is OK during the day but not at night - this may have been a one off issue. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Melaka - we would probably stay in a different room though as there are many other options available. It is good value for money, fantastic location, fantastic staff, very comfortable and convenient.

Last March, I stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 3 weeks at Double Tree Hilton. One day, I felt that I wanted to see a different city, and I decided to take a bus to Melaka. I was thinking of staying at another Double Tree Hilton in Melaka but the location was too far. I did not make a reservation to stay at Liu Men. I just walked in and asked the receptionist whether there was any room available that day. When I saw the building and the area where it is located, I just loved it. So I decided to stay in Melaka for a night. Positives: -The interior design is lovely. I liked the amenities too. The bed was so comfortable. in the room, they also provided Melaka snacks - a nice touch! -It is very centrally located. Melaka historical sites are just within walking distance. Nearby the hotel, there are also historical buildings, such as mosques and temple. -Staffs were wonderful. I would like to mention the gentleman who served me the suhoor. He was very helpful. The chicken congee was nice too. It was really a pleasant stay in a stylish hotel. The only minor issues were the safety box was faulty, and I could hear noises from some guests (note that the guests were naturally loud - I can't fault the hotel).

We had visited Malacca to celebrate a milestone & had informed the Hotel of this seeking a better room if possible. We were pleasantly surprised to enter the room decorated with balloons and a banner. It was a classy gesture and we appreciate it.

This hotel no doubt comes tops in terms of location, amenities, decor and generally good service especially by the doormen/security guards. Was prepared to rate it highly but…. At check-in, asked the receptionist if we could request for a late check-out the next day. She said cannot. That I have to check with the receptionist on duty the next day. Next morning, I called from my room to ask for late check out. Request was granted. When I came down for breakfast, turned out it was the exact same receptionist on duty! Upon checking out, we misplaced one key card. Receptionist was displeased and claimed that we had to pay RM20 for the lost card. We refused. Not because of anything but a matter of principle. This is because we were not informed of any penalty charges for loss of key card prior to check in. Neither was it on any form we signed. And in all honesty, this is THE FIRST 5-star hotel that we have stayed in that wants to impose a charge on lost key card. It is ok if hotel wants to have such policy BUT please inform ur guests prior. It’s only fair/right. I would also like to suggest that the hotel consider serving its “all-you-can-eat” hot breakfast offerings in half portions to allow guests to better able to savour a variety of your delicious offerings while reducing wastage.

Hi Chockiechic. Thank you for the feedback. We are truly sorry that our services is not up to expectation. we are re-looking back at our guidelines in terms of the lost keycard as it has brought to our attention base on this recent events along with the staff attitude issue that you had mentioned. Furthermore on the breakfast feedback , we serve our standard portion throughout the day and "all-you-can-eat" breakfast, however if you wish to have a smaller portion you may inform the floor service staff on reducing the portion to your preferred liking as portioning is subjective for each individual. We wish you would return back for us to showcase our utmost service. Best Regards
