Best bed, best location, best of Melaka We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect - loved the comfy bed, the local snacks (manufactured in Melaka) the turndown service which including traditional snacks (coconut cookies, pineapple tarts), the powerful hair dryer, basically all the little touches that make ones stay extra special. Its close enough to the Melaka heritage area with its cute little shops (pass the gimmicky shops along the main Jonker walk, start by turning left at the hotel doorstep and pass the temple to art/craft shops), and explore the little alleys and side streets) and far enough to be pretty quiet at night. I’d book again in a heartbeat. My only complain it the provision of bottled water - hope the hotel switches to a more sustainable option soon.

TL;DR - Nestled within Jonker street, Liu Men offers a luxurious stay coupled with 5 star hospitality treatment. Great service attitude and attention making you feel like a VIP. 3 highlights about out stay at Liu Men: 1. Location in the heart of Melaka affords you a lot of time to immerse in the history and buzz around Jonker street. While it’s true you can expect more noise from the trishaw rides and the crowd on weekends, ear plugs are provided. 2. Nonetheless, the well appointed room, L'Occitane toiletries, complimentary room snacks & coffee at the lounge more than make up for the lively atmosphere. 3. Effort from staff to make you feel special and welcome. We celebrated our anniversary in Melaka and were surprised by the nice gestures from the hotel. They even set up a nice tent bed for my kid to sleep in instead of a typical cot. You can expect a 5 star level of service at Liu Men. Before our arrival, staff sent via WhatsApp some useful information such as where to park and check in time. On our departure day, we were yet again surprised by a nice gesture from the hotel and a text whether we have reached home safely. Our stay came with breakfast. The menu options are limited and one might find it boring after 2 nights. Not to worry as you are surrounded by a lot of eateries to compensate for the hotel breakfast spread.

My family just came back from our 3D2N Melaka trip. We had been to Melaka for a number of times, but this was our first stayed in Liumen after reading many positive reviews. My family of four booked two Jebat rooms next to one another, and thanks to the staff for making this arrangement. Indeed, the hotel lives up to our expectations in all aspects! All the staff that we met at the front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, etc are nice and friendly. What impressed our family most is their toiletries. Considering this is a boutique hotel, we were surprised to see Loccitane toiletries in the bathroom, and bath sponge is included as well. Both rooms were neat and tidy, and they also turned down the room in the evening with a good night card and two yummy pineapple tarts. If there's one thing to improve, I guess it is having a bit more variety for breakfast. All in all, we are very happy with our stay with Liumen, and it will be our hotel of choice when we are back to Melaka again 😀.

Fantastic location. Close to cafes, shops and the river. Hotel lobby area and room is exquisitely finished. Staff were warm and efficient. Convenient private parking behind the hotel. Breakfast choice could be wider, but it was adequate.

Excellent hotel to stay in while in Melaka! The rooms are amazing. Best bed and pillows ever! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Anything extra we wanted was met with hesitation. Location is perfect. The only thing was the breakfast could be better. The lack of staff didn’t help either although after we asked the 2nd time about our food (it was inadvertently given to another table who came later than us) they tried their best to make sure it arrived soon. Will definitely stay again 😌

The staffs were friendly and courteous. The breakfast was of high quality. The hotel also provides coffee/tea/sweet treats during the day, a good way to freshen up after all the walking/shopping. The hotel also has a complimentary private car park, good for those who drive.
