This is probably one of the most gorgeous places we've stayed at, tastefully decorated and just incredibly classy with such lovely details, especially the glass ceiling courtyard area for tasty breakfast or tea. I usually use my own toiletries at hotels but the ones here smell so good I couldn't resist! It's diagonally across the street from Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest functioning temple in Malaysia... in fact, we could see it from our room with the windows open. Only a few minutes walk to Jonker Street and many historical sights nearby all within walking distance. The lively weekend night market starts just down the street but our room stayed fairly quiet except for a few bicycle taxis driving by playing loud music. AC's a bit too cold despite the temperature set so best to bring a sweater - the bed is amazingly comfortable though, comparable if not better than Hilton. It cost us 170 RM by Grab from KLIA Airport, under 2 hours. Hotel car service from here to Kuala Lumpur KLCC area was 400 RM/2 hours in a nice spacious minivan. Would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat! Without knowing a lot about Malacca beforehand, I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be so beautiful and interesting to wander around the perfect blend of its diverse cultures.

Just spent a weekend stay at this gorgeous boutique style hotel and was blown away by the lovely service and gorgeous ambience.
The location is literally a stone's throw away from Jonker St which made it easy to walk out and about to the night market.
The room comes with complimentary coffee/tea and snacks at the courtyard and breakfast which was delicious!
My fav thing was the bathroom which has the most beautiful fittings.
Kudos to the staff here, who are always smiling, with a special shout out to Durga who checked us in and Ray who was there to answer any and all questions we had.
Will definitely be staying here again when I visit Melaka.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
My 3 kids and I stayed in 4 different hotels during our 5D4N stay in Melaka. This was truly the best boutique hotel in terms of cleanliness, hospitality, Covid19 SOP compliance, sanitization (even our luggage were sanitized with a spray gun upon arrival), location, etc. We stayed in the Kapitan Room which has a king-sized bed that could easily fit 3pax (if you want a good night's sleep). Bed and pillows were confortable. Since there were 4 of us, we requested an extra bed in our room. Despite the presence of the extra bed, we still had sufficient space to move around.
Open air car parking is available on site (at the back of the hotel) although it is quite limited. With the room charge, we received a number of complementary items, including a drink (coffee/tea) at the cafe, mineral water bottles ( 8 bottles!), fresh fruits, pineapple tarts, snacks, and canned drinks. The toiletries were quite sufficent if you forgot to bring your own (l'occitaine bath gel/ shampoo/ conditioner) - the only thing lacking, if at all, was a bubble bath soap / bath salt.
Unfortunately, my 9year old had a case of indigestion (after eating way too much hawker food in Jonker's street) and vomited in the wee hours of the morning (thankfully on the spare bed!). Even though the hotel did not have housekeeping on standby, the personnel manning the front desk were quick to assist me in any way possible - that too with a smile! Sometimes, it is in situations such as this when hospitality and service truly matters.
Breakfast was ala carte (which i think is more appropriate in COVID times) and we were given a choice between nasi lemak, mee goreng, english breakfast and roti canai. All were delicious, no complaints. The only thing is that we had to pay extra for hot cholocate. For a lot of Malaysians, milo is as essential as coffee/ tea and therefore, perhaps the management should consider including this as a free item for breakfast.
Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable stay. Thank you.

A charming, luxury boutique hotel situated in a historical town. Elegantly furnished with a complementing black and white pallete throughout the hotel. A lot of planning and effort can be seen even in the smallest design element. We felt a very warm welcome from all the staff.
During our stay, we were offered complementary snacks include local snacks with coffee or tea in the dining area.
Each room has a character name from the hero legend of Malacca. We stayed in the Hang Jebat room which was complete with complementary tea, coffee, flavoured drinks, tid bits, a complete set of toiletries, robes, slippers, weighing scale and hair drier. The fan in the room was a plus point considering the weather in Malacca. The bed was luxurious with different softness pillows to choose from. However, hand soap should have been provided!
The Nyonya Laksa and Nasi Lemak that we had for breakfast was fantastic. Coffee was bold and aromatic. Sliced fruits, cereals, bread and pastries with spreads and juice were served buffet style.
Parking is available at the back and guests are able to excess through the back door into the hotel.
We noticed that there we some ants in the room and unfortunately we got bitten. Besides that small incident, thank you for a memorable experience and kudos for a great effort Liu Men.

From the moment I enquired about the rates via whatsapp direct to the hotel, service has been impeccable. Especially Aisyah from Front Office who attended to all my queries and requests politely and efficiently. Check in was smooth and fast and we were ushered to our amazing Hang Tuah rooms on the 2nd floor. If you are travelling with family would recommend you take the Hang Tuah rooms as there is lots of space even when we asked for an extra bed for my kids room. Informed Aisyah that it was my husband's birthday that weekend and the hotel was nice enough to decorate our room with petals. Breakfast was delicious and would recommend everyone to take the hi-tea. So unique and a lovely treat.
Being a boutique hotel, service is beyond amazing, from En Izhar, the hotel manager to all the wait staff and even housekeeping, everyone was so professional and warm and hospitable. Rooms and toilets are a class of its own, I couldnt stop taking photos of everything, including the lovely tassles adorning the rooms.
Little touches like small treats during turn down service and free snacks (kids love them!) in the room and the luxurious Loccitane toileteries is the cherry on top of an already amazing hotel.
Only 2 minutes walk to Jonker Walk makes this hotel perfect for our family. It really does tick all the boxes for us. Can't praise it enough. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Melaka again.

Very very beautiful hotel with strategic location in the heart of Jonker Street. Free parking provided as well. The hotel itself is very stunning and clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was very efficient and they even gave pineapple tarts while we were out for about 2 hours only and even tidy the room. Highly recommend to those who wants to visit melaka for a relaxing holiday.

This is a boutique hotel in a beautifully restored art decor building in the the heritage heart of Malacca. Service was excellent eventhough due to covid-19 lockdown staff had been furloughed. Senior management were themselves helping out everywhere. The rooms were very comfortable however, the best feature was the superb location of the hotel in the historical part of town. Virtually everything was within walking distance including a bunch of speak easy bars that seem to have become the new trendy norm in Malacca. They have free and easy parking at the back of the hotel so driving there is hassle free. We had the best time and I couldn't recommend a better choice for a quick weekend getaway in a very well appointed hotel.

Stayed at the Hang Tuah room for a night. This hotel was chosen mainly for the location and the unique heritage architecture. The room was clean and spacious. Very good quality furnishings. High end toiletries were provided, and water pressure is strong. Room lighting is quite dim, but not an issue for us since we only sleep and rest in the room. Only downside is probably the noise from the mosque nearby, in the wee hours in the morning. So be prepared to expect some disturbance in your sleep.
Breakfast was good. Roti canai was very crispy and delicious. Their nasi lemak and homemade kaya were good too.
Ample parking is available at the back of the hotel. Staffs were helpful.

I had a lovely time exploring this fabled city thanks to Liu Men. It's a gorgeously renovated, peranakan place nestled in the bossom of the old town. You can almost roll out of bed and straight onto a pineapple tart bake house, it felt that close. The bed was heavenly and with service to match. The L'occitane shower products were also just the thing to wipe away the dust of this 600 year old city. And the smart TV was appreciated.
The only issue with being so close to the action means you're also close to the noise. Loud becak drivers hoon up and down until midnight, blaring Malay ballads on high pitch, which is slightly annoying, and the acoustics are such that you hear a lot of what's happening in the corridors around you. Ask for a room facing away from the street if you're a light sleeper.
But it's a small price to pay for quality and comfort in a town that was once the centre of the world. Come and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The Manager of the hotel Mr. Izhar Ibrahim was great and even gave his mobile number to help in case one needed anything.
Room was very clean. On site private parking was available. The hotel was minutes walk from all the major attractions Melaka has to offer. Jonker Walk serving street food and curios was 1 minute walk from the hotel. Riverside cafes were 7 minutes walk from the Hotel.
Unfortunately there was no bar on the premises but there was one 2 doors away from the hotel where we received a 10% discount for being guests of the hotel. The Manager of the bar even took us out for a great night out with the band that was playing chill music on the Saturday night. Eysi the performer had an amazing voice and Kieno her collaboration artist was a very nice person.
The local food served for breakfast was great, but the american breakfast could have been better but was still good. The local Melaka Coffee is a must try.
There’s no room service but food could be delivered to the hotel using the local food delivery service App (Grab / FoodPanda). The hotel was even accommodating to warm up the food incase one did not eat the food immediately.
Snacks and soft drinks were available as complimentary in the “Hang Tuah” room and if you were peckish there was biscuits available free from the breakfast room.
All in all a great hotel with a well deserved “preference” status.
