we choose this hotel simple because we just need a room that will only be used to have a sleep. We stay in deluxe room with queen bed.

The hotel area was quite quiet and not busy which is good. the receptionist was good and attend us warmly. The moment we step inside the room we are quite surprise that the room is actually very small. the bathroom is ok with soap bar, and shampoo. (no toothbrush, and others.)

I am a bit sad with the cracky wall and the floor. they just paint the floor with yellow-gold colour and it is not even. there are crumple hair in the bathroom which I did read about it before from other review in tripadvisor.

no facilities, not breakfast, just a basic hotel.

good thing about the hotel is, the location. It is really near with mall, Taming Sari Tower, and historical place which is just 10 minutes by car. Food area is just nearby, you can walk or go by car.

if you are a type of person that want a comfortable room, spacious area, good facilities then opt for a better hotel such as Casa de Rio, Holiday Inn or equatorial. But be ready to pay lot more.

Overall, as a budget hotel it is expensive but it is actually the 'normal' standard price in Malacca.

Stay for 2 nights in Deluxe room. Good looking lobby with complimentary coffee and tea. No breakfast included. Whole building flooring is yellowish with cracks on it. Room not even carpeted and dusty. Can hear noises from outside. Bathrooms are big, no bathtub and don't even provide foambath, only soap. Good thing is aircon is cold enough. Near to major shopping centre and places of interest.

Price : MYR 120 -150 @ Queen Size Bed
Room Size : consider tight, as the walk way between the 32" LCD TV wall mounted & the 5ft queen size bed only left bout 1ft to walk.
Toilet Size : consider spacious, enough to fit 2 person ( if you know what i mean ), but the finishes rather cheap ( not to expect volakas marble table top / counter top / flooring ) instead skimcoat finish with weathershield painting finish come with some crack line as trowel finishes.

sleep quality : ok, aircon still new, quite cold, facing mainroad.
Breakfast : not available, but free coffee / tea instead.
Parking : 10 bay or less behind the hotel alley. front parking may risky for summon @ 8am, coupon needed to scratch-ready display at your dashboard.

a bit overprice for me because nothing to enjoy in term of facilities.

So we initially booked the opposite La Boss but cancelled as the reviews were not fantastic. Reviews for this hotel were good so expectations were high.
Sadly, this hotel failed to meet our expectations. Sure, it was quite clean but provided very basic amenities.
I was beyond shocked when I asked the reception for a hairdryer and the answer was that all their hair dryers were used thus I would have to wait until one of the guests return the hair dryer.
I stayed one night sleeping with wet hair and left the next day with wet hair again.
Nevertheless, staff were all very friendly, service was great but this reason will not be good enough to make me return to this hotel.

Extremely poor lighting & disturbing aroma of "freshener" at the lobby & lift.
Dimly lit pavement & room did not put us in a comfortable state of mind.
Floor was not carpeted, walls cracked & worst is the dangerously faulty socket.
Bathroom floor is just cemented & painted sloppily.
Only assuring point is pleasant front desk staff.
Would not recommend to anyone.

the reasons why you shouldn't choose Beuford:
1. the chinese awful lady receptionist is rude and unfriendly
2. the corridor is 'scarily' dark!!
3. the lift is located far behind the reception counter which caused unsecure feeling.
4. No security guard, only 1 receptionist and 1 foreign house-keeper(male)-- as what we saw!
5. the floor is 'uncarpeted' and painted with cheap &ugly yellow paint.( you can imagine how awful and cheap it is)
6. the toilet looks like the jail's toilet!!--- broken toilet bowl, water flow out from toilet into the room
7. the provided towels are torned and the colour had turn dark. ( how 'yucky' is it!!)
8. the blanket has a weird smells, is like a male perfumes ( i wonder if the house-keeper had sleep on it before we enter the room)
9. there is no tea cups and tissue provided
10. the air-conditioner was not well-functioned ( even we turn down to 16 degree celcius yet still not cold enough)
11. no additional pillow provided

Overall, it is not worth what we paid for! what kind of 3 star hotel it is?! we are really dissatisfied with this Beuford Hotel! No more next time for us!!!

I had two nights stay in Beuford hotel in their Family Suite last weekend (Nov 2011), rate per night is RM 388.

LOBBY
Great looking lobby with complimentary coffee and tea. no breakfast though.

RECEPTION
Called to get information about the rates, a girl named Nancy Picked up and quite helpful with the information. but once we're inside the room, called recep to get scissor, she said yes, but NO ONE CAME. called recep to get taxi to the airport and bus terminal, it was done immediately. Perhaps they are short handed?

ROOM
When we first step into the room, Family Suite looks quite spacious for 4 person. The room has 1 toilet inside with a Jacuzzi, living room, 1 king bed and 2 single beds. NO DOOR BELL??? NO PEEPHOLE??? NO WARDROBE???

SLEEP
Heard the hotel is quite new, so the bed and blanket is very clean. we stayed on the 4th floor but we can still hear the noise from outside. I do not mind the noise, so i had good sleep at night.

FLOOR
Yellow Flooring. Cracks on the floor, i guess its a new hotel but it was a very old building. DIRTY FLOOR. asked them to do something about it on our second day, and when we came back, it was a little better, but u can still feel its DUSTY. Looked underneath the bed and its VERY DUSTY. BTW NOT A SINGLE of hotel slipper for a very dusty floor!!

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
Limited channels and 1 remote control for 2 tvs?
And 1 aircon remote for 3 aircon???
No Fridge in Family Suite??
No Hairdryer??
No clock??

TO CITY
You can walk to City but its a little far.
Taxi to Batu Berendam Airport is RM 35
Taxi to Bus Station is RM 20

A family trip 3D2N with lousy staying experience, the worst so far all of us has experienced. First, they didnt bother to send an email confirmation despite 2-3 follow-ups and the email response (finally) I got was it's a generic email so it would've probably be read by someone..what?! Very limited parking space and risk getting summons! Additional pillow is chargeable, air-cond leaking, room & bathroom floor is painted (slippery too) instead of carpetted, room lock is faulty.. so definitely not recommended at all!
