Don't be fooled by the pictures! Whilst the building is beautiful it's very run down and I really don't think it's worth the money that we paid for the night. However it has a reasonably good location - it took about 19 minutes to walk into the centre of Malaka. If I ever go back I won't choose this hotel. I think it's worth pointing out though that the staff were very friendly and offered good customer service. It's the hotel that lets them down.

The hotel is located very close to Little India , China town , jonker market. The room is great.
Shower but not the washroom. We struggled taking shower on a jacuzzi which is out of order. It is slippery and not convenient at all taking shower on a jacuzzi. The hotel management should look into these and have a proper shower room. The corridor has a very stale smell..
Overall, it’s a pleasant stay.

The hotel from the exterior looked really grand. The room was quite big in size and the hotel reception staff were nice enough. We (husband, two teenage children and I) arrived an hour early and were directed to the note that they didn’t have early check-ins.

The doorman was nice and gave us an umbrella as it was raining when we were going out.

However, the bathroom was not very clean with rotting shower screen because of most likely poor cleaning. The towels in the bathroom were supposed to be white but were brown in colour and stained. Unfortunately, we had to use these as there was no other option, felt unclean after shower.

The corridor had a musty odour which was overpowering.

Stayed two nights and had put up a door sign to have the room cleaned but no one came around and we were out all day. Bottled water was given on the first day but not on the subsequent day. I’m glad we only stayed two nights as couldn’t have tolerated the place for any longer.

I choose this hotel is because of the beautiful pictures in their website (supposed to stay July 14th - 16th) . Unfortunately it is not from anything u see in the web! Worst is, I arrived at the hotel at 4.30pm, and when I check in to the room is still dirty nothing been clean yet! Went back to front desk and she told me to wait while the HK will clean the room within 10mins. 10mins to clean the whole room? It’s ridiculous! To clean the whole room (btw, I booked executive double suite with outdoor spa bath) with the outdoor, minimum will take around 45mins! When she said 10mins, u can imagine the quality of the cleaning it going to be. I demand to see the manager but she said the hotel do not have any manager and the GM also not around because he/she work from home! I decided not to stay and asking for my full refund (God knows when I will get my refund)! Worst hotel I ever been to!

Im disappointed with the hotel management as they telling me there is no breakfast when i check in, however when i check out the next morning, they told me there is breakfast available and they tried to reach us by calling our room. So there is no refund for it however they still took my bank account number. Not sure either they refund or not.
Im quite upset regarding this matter
1) not calling to my direct number despite already give my personal number to announce regarding the breakfast already available
2) not give annoucement at the reception when i asking regarding the iron thingy at night after we came back from our dinner
3) didnt put any annoucement that telling us there is available breakfast for tomorrow at the reception where quest can see when they go in or out from the hotel.

Still waiting for my refund

Prices was attractive but hotel was undergoing renovation. Work in progress even till after 9pm. Was stuck waiting for the only lift in operation during checkout as they are moving furniture for renovation.
Big rooms with large size bed, clean n comfy
Walking distance to Jonker
Free secured parking which is a plus point
Big jacuzzi

Hope after the renovations will be better.

Pleasant place, relatively clean and quiet, away from the main roads, close to everything. Places of interest within walking distance which is convenient. Inexpensive, nice hawker food nearby especially breakfast, lunch etc can be had close by. Jonker Street is within walking distance and close to the river side.

As everyone mentioned, their shower system are very difficult to control the temperature. Do bear in mind that if you need any additional items, is chargeable.
The only plus points are, it is conveniently located near places of interest and yet not noisy

Beautiful hotel from the outside very welcome as we arrived door opened for our entry, receptionist very polite and a quick check in all good so far then we were given our rooms, which were situated in the 1st floor.
On exit from the lift the smell of damp was very strong as we continued down the corridors we did count over 5 de-humidifier machines working at full capacity, and noticed very bad damp patches on all the walls which had been painted over to mask the mould.
Do we turn back now & complain or carry on to our rooms, being British we carried on. We went in and the damp smell was much more bearable so as we were only there for the night we stayed.
The bathroom had a pebble dash finish to the walls not tiled it also had an inner wall leak which was very noticeable because of the colour change of the p/dashing was very dark and cooler to touch this was also making the floor behind the toilet wet.
The shower cubicle had not been cleaned very well there was water splash marks on the outside of the glass.
Bed made up for all faults of this hotel, it was one of the most comfortable beds in my life ( and it’s been a long one ) that I’ve ever slept in.
Breakfast the following morning was average but we all ate and was comfortable.
