We stayed for 4 nights in a superior double. First impression was the entrance hall which had lots of furniture to keep one interested, with couch and a table with chairs which we made use of in the evening. Further into the hotel is a small museum and picture gallery. We were located on the 1st floor. The room was...

I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Puri. The rave reviews were spot on. The location, staff, atmosphere and even breakfast are great. I absolutely loved staying in the UNESCO World Heritage area. The spa is also really nice and affordable. Judy gave me one of the best massages of my life, which was much appreciated after several...

1/ can feel that hospitality is very poor in the first place. 2/ the room we get is not what we want. But aside , ants are crawling on the wall more than one spots. 3/ requested to call for a cab driver to go to coach terminal. After 15 min, no one replied. Then when we tried to get...

We have been staying at this hotel for more than a decade. It is a small Boutique Hotel right in the centre of the Jonker walk historical area of Melaka. Hotel itself used to be a rich Chinese traders "long house" which upon entering opens up into a moderately large hotel complete with inner courtyard and pond areas. The entrance,...

Let's start with the positives. Parking lot available for the hotel guests (plenty of spaces). Beautiful courtyard areas and dining area. Room seemed tidy and did offer toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, and a safe. Ample plugs for my teenagers to keep gadgets charged. Location of the hotel was also very good. Not so positives. Beds were very firm. Shower...

This is amazing! The kind of hotel you want to live in! Boutique in every way. Wonderful courtyard to relax in, just a wonderful old building, stylishly decorated in its own time. Just the best hotel ever. Staff brilliant and breakfast great too. I wish there were more hotels like this in Malaysia. What a wonderful place!

Stayed here for three nights with my partner while on holiday. We picked the Hotel Puri due to its location in the old town. We loved the historic character of the hotel - it has a narrow street frontage but it extends a long way back. We had a room towards the back that overlooked a lane way, so there...

Standards have dropped drastically since I visited this hotel in 2014. Stayed in room 218 just the past weekend. Pillowcases were stained with black dirt and pink stains (blood?). Informed the front desk but receptionist was the least apologetic. Charged me rm10 for extra pillows to be brought up. Ants crawling in the toilet sink, and even on my pillowcase....

Malacca has grown in recent years, and most of the new hotels are of the sort you'd find in Singapore, Sydney or London. The Puri is one street away form Jonkers Street, i.e. quieter but close to the tourist centre. It's a well preserved and modernised building with lots of charm. The bedrooms are modern, mainly with views of the...
