Hotel Puri Melaka is a boutique hotel in the heart of the old city of Malacca. The hotel is a carefully restored Peranakan house which once belonged to the descendants of an eminent philanthropist and rubber plantation owner, Tan Kim Seng. The location of the hotel is really strategic and you can roaming around malacca town by foot. Jonker street is just 2 mins away. The room is really spacious and clean with nice decoration. Me and my husband had a pleasure visiting their spa and it was absolutely a sublime experience. The spa's ambiance was carefully curated to create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. Soft, soothing music played in the background, complementing the gentle lighting and nice décor. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The skilled therapists employed a delicate touch, ensuring that every muscle was pampered and every tension melted away. I particularly enjoyed their body massage, which left me in a state of pure bliss. In conclusion, Hotel Puri [and Puri Spa] is a haven of tranquility and relaxation, offering an extraordinary escape from the stresses of daily life. The combination of a serene ambiance, expert treatments, and exceptional service creates a holistic experience that rejuvenates the mind, body, and soul. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a nice hotel and amazing spa experience.

Lovely hotel. Brilliant location. Friendly staff. It was good value. We stayed in the Junior suite and found it very pleasant. It is what you'd expect from a hotel located in a heritage mansion. Lots of quirky character. We were here too nights and had breakfast. It was super basic and rooms had a kettle and tea and coffee.

A lovely revisit for me 😊. I was able to convince my friend to stay at this traditionally design boutique hotel (my friend is a “chain hotel” customer), and I’m glad to say that she wasn’t disappointed🙏🏼 However, I do think the room we had was a bit too small (similar to my last visit) which we don’t really mind, but the shower room was “tired” and it was too hot, it needs an “upgrade”! The hotel has been expanded as guests can now take breakfast in the garden which was lovely. Breakfast has good choices too. The location was superb very close to the famous Jonker Street night market. I would say it’s fairly good value for money. Again like most Asian places, things come alive in the evening.

Excellent location, close to all the tourist attractions, including Jonker Street. Reception was friendly and helpful. Room (and ensuite) comfortable and clean, serviced daily. Breakfast was included in the tariff, and served on the ground floor - you could have it in the open or the adding undercover breakfast room - I opted for the former. Breakfast buffet was good, with Western and Eastern food choices, and included fresh fruit, hot food, omelette bar, etc Lots of restaurants nearby. The night Jonker Street Night Market (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) provided further choice.

A historical hotel that is well designed with authentic peranakan style that has a lot of great and beautiful antiques that it feels authentic that we lives in Peranakan era. Hotel room itself was really clean, hot shower worked well and with all necessities are pretty much enough for us with the price that's really unexpectedly great saving. The air conditioner was also working great. From my personal experience it's a hotel where I could have better sleep experience The breakfast was amazing too, one of the best thing I had. One of the reason to stay here other than the historical and the beauty is how close the hotel is with the street market ( about 3 minutes walking). It's one of the memories that still remarks well in my mind about how beautiful this hotel is.

We chose Melaka as our little get-away from our routine life to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to stay at the Hotel Puri Melaka - and we were not disappointed! For a boutique hotel located in the heart of the historical city of Melaka, this quaint little hotel ticks all the boxes. But don't be fooled by it's beautiful facade. The hotel is not little at all - but it houses over 90 rooms! After an almost 2-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, we found the hotel quite easily and they have an allocated area for patrons to park their car, a few meters past the main entrance. Entering the hotel, you are taken back in time as the hotel kept its main theme as a Peranakan (Baba Nyonya) home. Apparently it was once a house owned by a very reach Baba Nyonya family before it was transformed into a hotel and personally I am pleased that they kept the heritage - as they even have a "History Room" where they display old artifacts and stories of the house and how it became a hotel. We were greeted by a very chirpy and cheery lady named "Lorna" (I think) who roomed us without any hassle or delay. There are a lot of nooks and corners within the hotel and if you love history, or antique items, this hotel suits you well. Indeed there are some 'not-so-well-lit' areas but I guess that adds to the charm of the hotel. We both love the breakfast area which seems to be a courtyard with both indoor and outdoors sittings, and the breakfast that was offered, inclusive of the room deal we got was substantial and pleasant. The room we had was well appointed and comfortable, but quite small, but it was expected as I can see how they try to fit in as much rooms they can in the old building and the extensions they made. My only comment on the rooms is that it is not sound proofed and the walls were rather thin. We also noticed that everyone serving in the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming. My biggest compliment would be to the management of the hotel on how well they preserve the building for its current purpose and yet still maintain its heritage through the authentic touches and the historical preservations Highly recommended to any first timers or even repeat travelers to Melaka - as not only the hotel is great but it is located within walking distance to most of the attractions!

Arrived, shown where to park in a nice sized safe area then very efficient check-in. Stayed in a nice double room with very clean, wet room style, on-suite bathroom. Happened to meet the hotel Director who told us about the bird nests in the coving made before Covid-19 by visiting birds, who as yet have not returned post the two year enforced closure. The hotel has a lovely small museum room to the back that is beautifully laid out. Breakfast provided has many and varied dishes.
