This hotel is awesome from the staff to the location. The rooms are old school and beautifully appointed from the poster bed to the Roman tub. The restaurant for breakfast was very good with many choices. The bar was typical Asia with limited choices if you want top shelf booze. A definite must stay at when in the area

Nice looking old traditional looking building crammed in amongst tall modern constructions. Good welcome and everything acceptable without being very special. Shortcomings are; dining/breakfast table wobbles on the floor (we tried 3 & 2 wobbled!) air con in room noisy, even when switched off in the room can still hear AC from next room. Can hear voices from next room....

The Majestic Hotel, Melaka is suited in this charming city which is a UNESCO world heritage site, with a rich trading history and multicultural heritage. Melaka is an exciting town to explore ... located about two hours from Kuala Lumpur. For the best introduction, l quote from the hotel website: "Located on the banks of the river which in yesteryear...

Stayed in this lovely hotel mid February. Excellent location, an easy walk into the main town. Worth the slightly longer walk along the river. All staff were extremely helpful and always with a smile. Good rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfasts good, plenty of choice. Did the free walking tour of old Malacca/china tour which was conducted by a delightful member of...

The majestic Hotel was built in 1929. In 1955 it was converted into a Hotel. It was restored and reopened in 2009. The hotel has the original building where you an eat and a modern block behind. Each room has a bath and shower inside the room with a hardwood screen. It is really fabulous. The staff are great and...

Love the hotel decoration. At reception has a free snack in the jars to enjoy. The room we stay in on the new wing. Room is rather small for the price. The bathroom shower glass had to pull to open / push to exit and that's made all floor wet after shower.

Stay over for a night last Saturday. Service upon checkin was good. Someone helped us with the luggage from the hotel's carpark to the hotel. Can't say the same for checkout. No one helped us with the luggage to the carpark. Service seemed to have abruptly stopped after we processed checkout paperwork. Kinda a letdown in this aspect. And definitely...

The charming mansion is in a pretty setting and convenient to sightseeing venues. The hotel is a newer building behind the mansion which houses a small public sitting area, library and a tiny bar with not so tiny prices compared to food and drink purchased elsewhere The rooms are comfortable and some have a view of the river which is...

As you would expect from YTL: - beautiful, comfortable room; - beautiful surroundings; - good location - 15 minute walk to Jonker Str; - lovely little snacks at turn-down; - attentive staff (except at breakfast). Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing. The buffet is very small and we didn't get what we ordered. When the food arrived, we were surprised to get...

This hotel features a lobby and restaurant in a traditional bungalow which leads to a modern hotel building. The rooms are immaculately detailed with period furniture, carpets and fittings. The location is across from the river and cultural center and a short walk from the 16th century UNESCO world heritage site. We had two rooms so we were accompanied by...
