Much improved facilities compared to my stay in april. A good place to stay for easy trips to Jonker street and to sample Melaka local fare,The streets here are narrow so driving may need patience. Its advisable to walk around the area.It is also near the Dutch buildings,St Paul's ruins, the oldest Anglican church, and a Catholic of St Francis Xavier.

The ambiance is superb! The Baba House do brings us back to the 1870s..from the decorations to the ambiance. The Hotel is just afew minutes away from most of the attractions in Bandar Melaka The Service is good, but they need to tend to customer need more efficiently. They Offer: Rooms Cafe Massage Centre no Swimming pool Hotel Room: Very Baba...

It is a nice building but find that the hotel is not professionally run. The room is quite old and not very well maintained. If the management can touch up and renovate the whole place and improve the breakfast quality i believe the room can be charged a higher rate - at current condition i think it is just value...

I stayed here for 1 night , made the reservation from Booking.Com , normally booking.com don't charge before check in , but this hotel charge it from us with taxes ! Traveled to Melaka from 10 - 11 Nov, together with my wife and 2 friends. Stayed at Baba house for a night and visited the famous Jonker street. Journey to Melaka We started our road trip at approximately 8.30am and entered via 2nd link. Trusty Gamin navigator guided us safely to the baba house.Again, a gentle reminder to top up...

Loved staying in an old Peranakan house. Antique furniture in public areas, including a bridal bed in the breakfast room. Fun to see the courtyards and the architectural features that remain. Rooms are sparse but adequate. Funky smell, but construction is going on in parts of the hotel. Breakfast was in a pretty setting but really cheap, awful food. Eggs,...

We arrived in Melaka reasonably late on a Saturday evening. The first few hotels that we tried were booked out,so we were pleased when we found that The Baba House had one room left. The reception desk were honest in letting us know that the room was small. The room was adequate - small but clean. There was a musty smell...

My family went back the last weekend and I might say the hotel has seen better days. First noticed that the security guard is no longer stationed at the carpark entrance. The ground condition of the carpark is terrible! Also the room furnishings are getting old and there is obvious lack of maintenance. The shower head is struck, the sink...

In good location but felt tired and in need of some work. Room on ground floor clean but windowless and bathroom ceiling had paint peeling and shower head was broken. Breakfast poor, cold and served (badly) in dingy courtyard area. In fact on second morning didn't bother, went elsewhere.
