checked in with disappointment. The floor full of dust, walk few steps then our feet become black.broken windows lock, insecure house. toilet's lamp suis was broken, breakout when we switch on the suis. Besides, few sockets are not funtioning. Poor aircond and no fan for master and 1 of the middle room.switch on air cond for fews hour but still hot.terrible bed condition, suspect it uses old bed that thrown by others.all disposable materials like toiletries will be provided upon request only. The receptionist cannot fully understand english and malay, need to walk few houses away to get it ourselves.Fed up with the accommodation conditions with such high price.Total not recommend for staying here with such price. You can definitely get a better one.

I agreed with the 1st review. This is my 3rd time visiting Malacca and this is the worst hotel. The floor is very dirty, I walk a few steps and my feet become black. There was no padlock provided to lock the gate. The house is meant for big families but you can only park one car inside. There's no fan in all the rooms. There's stain on the blanket. The beds are old. Toiletries and bath towel will be provided upon request only; from the receptionist in the 1st house. All the toilets are small. There's nothing worth praising besides the sofa in the hall.

Stayed for just one night on our way back to Kuala Lumpur (check in on Saturday and check out on Sunday). Booked very last minute i.e. on Friday morning and paid the deposit in the morning.

As a frequent traveler, I always believe that some unfortunate or unpleasant experience happened to other fellow travelers might not happened to us. Its just a matter of isolated cases etc. But in this case, I'm totally agreed with the previous 3 reviews. Please please please avoid this house except if you are really on tight budget (if traveling with big families) and can't find any other hotels nearby.

I found this Asean Heritage Residence (AHR) when Googling and it directed me to the World Heritage Management website. Communication with Ms Hana Kamaruddin were made via Whatsapp and few calls. Respond time were very poor but nevertheless, managed to get to book 2 units.

We arrived at the house around 8.45 p.m. and were given Villa 1 and Villa 2 which is just located really next to the reception (Villa 1 is literally next to the reception as the sliding door opened to the reception cabin). Check in was super fast as the reception is eagerly waiting for me.

Pros:
1) The Villas look very good and luxury enough.
2) 4 rooms with attached bathroom except for one room at the ground floor.
3) Towels provided.
4) Nearby city centre

Cons
1) Very dirty. Upon entering the Villa 2, found a cigarette butt on the floor at the living room. Complaint to reception about this and she mentioned "oh, the cleaner didn't see it. i will clear it now". The floor was very sticky and dirty, lots of dust. After you have finished walking around the house, just look at your feet and you'll be surprised.
2) the towels is more suitable to wipe the floor or kitchen. very dirty towel.
3) you can only park one car inside the porch.
4) faulty air-cond in room 4 and they can't do anything with it. Luckily, there is fan in each room. No air-cond at the living hall. Only fan provided
5) the floor bathroom is really nightmare. Super dirty.
6) the water heater working perfectly except that the water pressure was not consistent.
7) safety. We were back home around 2 a.m after dinner and our nightmare started. We had a black out and quickly tried to figure out ourselves but the power still trips off. We called the number on the reception door and about 10 minutes later, 2 young guy came and identified them as the staff. Looks like 'mat rempit' and they can't give us appropriate answers to why there is black out. After about half hour, another guy came and identified himself an 'technician' but looks like drug addict. Came with only one spanner, without torch light.
Only then, we figure out that both Villa 1 and Villa 2 shared the same electricity meter and the power relay. That's why when both units switch on all air-cond units and charged all the gadgets, we faced frequent black out. Fed-up with this, few of us drove back to KL that very early morning and we decided to stay in only one Villa. Its already close to 4.30 a.m. This is really a major safety issue and how they can obtain the CF? In fact, I complained to Ms Hana at around 3.40 a.m. and only got the reply at 11:00 a.m. How efficient was that. But the answers given by Ms Hana was really hilarious. 'We didn't expect this to happened as it never happened before. Furthermore, you booked last minute and we can give you the additional unit". I won't comment on this but leave it to you to make your judgement.
8) only local tv channel. faulty tv remote control and you have to manually operated the tv.

for the price that we paid (RM385 for one unit per night), it looks very good (only RM128 per room). but will we return? Definitely NO.

Two major issues : cleanliness and safety issues. If you are ok with it, you can stay here, its your choice.

7 of us checked in for 1 night (thankfully it's just 1 one night) and everything was OK when we arrived at first. The reception is located at the corner and there's basically two rows of houses, one double storey terrace houses and another double storey semi detached houses. They all looks nice and big from the outside and we got upgraded to the semi detached houses with Suite No. 13 (we weren't bothered much by the number, initially).

Everything seems to go downhill from there. When we entered the unit, we were greeted with an endless list of faults and issues with the house. Here are just some of it which I could remember...
1. There's only one key to the main wooden door, no keys to the pad locks or grills
2. There's this weird partition board raised around the staircase and entrance to the kitchen and judging by it's looks, I guess it has been left halfway painted months ago
3. Fridge and toilets stinks terribly
4. Bedroom door faulty and cannot be locked
5. Bedroom windows latch broken
6. Air-con controller faulty
7. TV have no other channels than RTM1 and RTM2
8. Kitchen cabinets with broken handles
9. Towels which looks more like floor mat

Overall, apart from having electricity and water supply, the house is close to being abandoned on the inside. The unit is dirty, poorly maintained and looks extremely bare and empty. There's a total of 4 rooms with 14 beds in total and there's only 7 of us. So it got kinda creepy at night and we all ended up sleeping upstairs and leaving downstairs completely empty. I will not go into the creepy details as it's subjective and not factual but suffice to say it was one of my creepiest experience in a hotel ever..!!
