Everyone who worked here was so lovely and welcoming. They were always willing to give us suggestions on where to eat and what to see. While the room we had was lovely it was the family vibe that made this place so special. On our last day we got to see a wedding party getting ready and they shared with us their wedding snacks that I hadn't tried before. I would stay here again next time i'm in Melaka. Oh and anywhere I get to pat a cute kitty wins in my book.

The place is clean and the room is spacious. The linens and the bed are soft. Free coffee or tea anytime of the day. My wife and I stayed here for a night. From here you can walk to many tourist spots in Malacca.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a really beautiful place with lots of history (200 years old building) in the heart of Melaka. Very clean room and bathroom, everyday new towels were provided and room was cleaned, good air-con, very comfortable bed, beautiful linen, complementary tea/coffee, snacks. We really enjoyed the dinners in two restaurants recommended by the owner. Location is amazing, walking to all major tourist destinations in 2-10 min. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend!! There was nothing to complain at all.

We had Room 6 on the top floor, large and comfortable with both aircon and a ceiling fan. The room also had a slightly dodgy, rickety balcony that looked out over the river and - provided you were not tempted to lean against the railings it was fine for an evening beer or an early morning coffee watching Malacca wake up. The hotel is next to the river walkway and there are several bars and restaurants just outside, it can get quite noisy in the evening but the hotels combination of windows and old-fashioned shutters kept the noise out. The hotel was pretty quiet when we stayed - I think we were the only people there. There is a big sitting room, bar and breakfast place on the ground floor but we didn’t see it being used. I assume that it may be used if there was a

A wonderful and interesting place to stay. Everything one would need or want is available. Different to anywhere else I’d stayed. Lovely atmosphere beside the canal. Snacks and drinks freely available. I felt I was really on holiday!
