Detailed Reviews
I had booked with Calanthe artisan upon my friend's recommendation and it was a great decision. The house is very spacious and my children enjoyed just by staying in the house. Large dining table is available and definitely a good dining option to beat the queues at popular eateries.
And I was totally taken away by how responsive Katherine was. On the first night when we couldn't figure how the TV was operated, help was immediately sent. And the next few minutes Joseph was already knocking on the door.
It is also located in the heart of jonker walk and waking distance to the places of interest. Definitely will recommend to my family and friends. Hope to be back soon! :)

Great location for the family over the X'mas holidays! Ease of booking with them and they offered much flexibility to us. Upon arrival, Joe, the host also made us feel welcomed. There was a welcome message on the chalkboard for us too! They have a cafe and jewelry/accessory shop which also featured much creativity. Place is huge and we had 2 cars parked and space for kids to run around. Overall, definitely an interesting experience and would suit someone looking for a different experience in the old town. Just to note it may not suit people who have difficulty taking the stairs as that's the way to the 2 king size beds. Alternative option is to sleep downstairs at the AV room that can easily fit 3 adults.

Went to Malacca for a short break. A 3D2N trip.
Like the spacious room, the location (so convenient that encourages us to keep shopping and buying stuff, and putting it back to the house) and most importantly, the house is extremely clean. The host is super sweet and very helpful. They have even prepared a small folders with all the 'must see' / 'must try'. It helps a lot when we want to decide where to go / what to eat.
For those driving to Malacca (like me), the house comes with parking (free). :D
Special thanks joe & christie for the hospitality ~

It was truly a unique experience, living in a true historical house. Our host is very nice and tentative to our needs. The host is also a certified tour guide, and kindly offered us a free tour. We learned a lot about Melaka through our host. Jonker street is within walking distance and the loft comes with a huge parking lot. Highly recommended.

My family and I had recently stayed in this home. We are very pleased. The host put in a lot of effort to make the place feel like a home. Good quality mattress were ready in the AV room for my additional guests.
It was extremely convenient with a parking bay and walking distance to jonker street. Bonus point was that the host willingly spare his time to bring us around and tell us about historical Melaka. Appreciate his effort and time.

Went melaka 4 a short trip. Googled arnd n found calanthe artisan loft with very good review. It is really a nice n cozy place to stay. Very convenient especially it comes with car porch. And so near to jonker walk. But a lot of mosquitoes.... good thing is calanthe has prepared mosquitoes repellent all around the house. Room is located at upper floor which elderly may find it difficult to walk up the staircases. But overall everything is nice. Thanks!

Joe & Christie are very nice and friendly couple. Welcome me & my friend on the first day we arrived in malacca. Joe was a good tour guide too. He can make the historical as an very interesting story. So that we can be interested in listening it. He also telling us where can eat the nice foods and where to go during our very short trip to malacca. Unforgettable memory and trip. The homestay also very creative and warmth to stay. Will look for him again next time !!

This is my first experience living in a loft and I guess this will not be the last. Colorful, creative arts and many personal touches in the loft makes you look forward for a good cosy rest after a day outing. Beyond my expectation for a home loft. Felt like a home and I wish it's my home. Love it to the max!

This place is located right in the busiest area of Malacca City. Just few steps away from the night bazaar. The place is clean and I like the kitchen. Quite complete with coffee, Milo and hot water. The beds are comfortable. The owners are friendly and nice. Can fit it at least 4 adults. Got a car porch so you can park right infront of the house, inside the gate. Secured.
