We were invited to experience this lovely hotel at a very cheap price during the MATA fair in 2011. So... we took the opportunity to visit Melaka city again and stay in this hotel on 23.Dec.2011.

This hotel is located in city centre within easy reach of many tourist attractions. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and pleasant. The Standard room we got was big and could easily fit in 4 people without extra beds as you can easily convert the 2 soft lazy chairs into beds.

The bathroom is big and clean. We found a mini-refrigerator and mini-safe for use. They also provide 3-in-1 coffee and tea bag with cordless kettle.

The only problem I found was their air-conditioning system. Their temperature control did not obey their settings. In my room, it was cold, whereas in my father's room, it was warm.

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel and the whole experience was really good. The rooms are very good size, with plenty of space, and the bathrooms are also decent size (we were in double rooms). The air-con worked wonders too.
The hotel is located approx. 20 mins walking from the city center, but the walk there is very nice as you can go along the river and end up directly in the night market.
The front desk is very helpful.
Breakfast offers a wide selection of continental and local food, good enough for the price paid.
Overall a great place to stay in Melaka.

I being here for short staycation with my mum, sister and brother . Book family room and room basically spacious enough to accomadate 4 of us. We have pleasant experience during check in and HSKP did assist us with an additional bedsheet and prayer mat.

I can’t complaint more as the room was spacious enough with the amount money we spend.

Good:
Spacious family room with sofa can turn to sofa bed.
Breakfast just nice and worth for the value.
Housekeeping is efficient enough to full fill our request.

Room for improvement
1.little little thing can be improve by having good eye of the details by Housekeeping and Maintenance .
2.Lift require some maintenance as is too quick to close and no sensor and can be dangerous to young kid.
3.Reception to be more friendly , open departure the female reception was so cold and never ask either I would like to have my bill or not. I have to ask and wait for around 6-10mins.
4. Too basic amenities.

Tips- please bring your own amenities if you want to book this hotel, do book Thru on line ( booking, agoda ) for better price instead Thru the hotel.

I have booked the hotel through booking.com with the best rate RM38 per room per night and i made a special request non-smoking and clean room. However, i'm very disappointed the room given in bad conditions as you can see the pictures attached. The kettle was dirty, the faucet broken, the toilet door broken, the bathroom sliding door broken, the floor is run down, the door hook is missing, the room smell of cigarettes smoke. And when complaint to the reception about the smoke odor he answered me we can only help you to get rid the smell by spray the air-freshner. I am shocked!! I thought he gonna say will change you the room but nothing. Even when i check-in the reception wasn't friendly enough. So i rate this hotel 1*....not recommended for tourist or those particular person....Last but not least i am quiet shocked to see the plate with rotten food left outside the walkway next to my colleague room. Disgusting!!!

I have stayed in most hotels in malacca and this is the worst three star in town. I booked for the room and checked in but cancelled my stay and left due to the disgusting room condition. Rooms are old, smelly & dirty. Pillows & linens are stained. Toilet was disgusting. Please make sure you view my photos. Go somewhere else. Anywhere is better for the price.

I am disappointed by the way Naza hotels car park are being managed. I am a paying guest in the hotel in Malacca Naza Talyya on the 7th - 8th April 2012.
Was told that there is guard doing the rounds in the car park to assure safety of all cars. Sadly,I don't see any guards doing the rounds as claim.
Saw a sleeping guard though, but was told it was KIA guard.
My car was damaged due to a failed attempt to break in and the alarm system and keyhole to the car boot is damaged.
Complained and was told by security advisor that there is a sign there and hotel policy that state clearly park at your own risk.
It is unfair to all guest. For all I know, Naza staff can team up with a group of robbers to help themselves with the guest cars. Am I right? So should 1 guest stay in the car to assure safety of their car? We pay for the holiday trip, selected Naza hotel , but the management did not assure the safety of the cars. It seems it is a usual occurrences, as one of the guard told me that you should park further in front to avoid these from happening. Well,  there you go. That's the reason for the sign 'park at your own risk'.
Well what I asked for was to be compensated for these misfortune cause by the car park of the Naza Talyya hotel poor management. Was told by Security personnel I need to make a report, so they can take my report to do a claim for insurance and they can compensate. How marvelous is that? Why can't the management check from the CCTV, acknowledge its their fault, and compensate the guests, improved on security to avoid issues like this from happening in the future?

We travelled as a group of 40 for the Santa Cruz mass on Sunday. We have been using the Naza for a couple of years now. This year, amongst my family members who occupied in total 6 rooms, the following took place:-

1. My sister's room - phone out of order. Insisted and finally changed room.
2. My brother's room - unmade when we checked in - ants dropping from ceiling right to his bedspread. He went out for lunch while the staff tried to rectify the problem. Came back a couple of hours later and was told they can't solve the problem. Changed room.
3. My room unmade when we checked in. Went downstairs for lunch. Came back and decided to switch on the aircon before taking a shower. The noise from the aircon unit was horrendous. Called twice before maintenance came and rectified this problem. Finally went to have a shower. Water pressure so strong that shower head literally jumped out of socket and hit my leg. Could see that shower head was already faulty and water spewing out every which way wetting the entire bathroom. Had a shower very carefully making sure that water pressure was low whilst doing so. Still bathroom floor was so wet that I had to use my towel to wipe the floor so that my daughter does not slip.
When my daughter went to shower, she took out her towel and noticed makeup stains (foundation) all over the bottom. We used that to wipe the rest of the floor. Called housekeeping for towels. Housekeeping came in with 2 towels wanting to know what was wrong with the other 2. Explained the situation and she told me that she would inform maintenance about the shower-head.
Left the hotel at 6.30pm and still no sign of maintenance. Went down and informed reception to get it rectified by the time I returned.
Returned at 11pm and noticed straight away that soiled towers still on bathroom floor and shower head still not replaced. Called reception again and they finally sent a maintenance guy who had a spare shower head in this hand. He spent less than a minute replacing it.

Walls thin. Dubious characters in the hallway between 2 and 3 in the morning. Saw 2 guys loitering in the corridor. Finally, they went to a room opposite mine and knocked. A female opened the door to them looking both ways before closing the door.

A male guest from another room uses the corridor frequently to smoke and walks round the corridors to do so.

Went for breakfast buffet at the coffee house next morning. They forgot the juice and had to be reminded. Refilling was also very slow. Coffee and tea came mixed with sugar. Beverages without sugar or with less sugar had to be specially ordered. No sugar satchets available. They had to be dug out and because there were only 2 staff, this took quite some time. No teaspoons available for stirring the beverage. The cutlery drawer did not have any. They had to go somewhere else to get the teaspoons.
Not enough serving spoons for the dishes and therefore you could see when something in red was used to scoop up the salad dressing. Cereals with milk but again with no sugar. No separate soup spoon provided for the cereals. You had to use the spoon provided on your table. However, after having had your cereal, if you wished to go for the main dishes which were either porridge, 'nasi lemak' or salad or fruits, there were no extra cutlery for you. We had to resort to using the same cutlery over and over again.
Service was very bad!

Will definitely not use the hotel again. Despite the renovations, hotel rooms very badly maintained with stains on the carpets and rooms have become very shabby.

It was probably a nice hotel once a upon a time. Unfortunately due to lack of maintenance and care, it's quite ran down. I won't be staying there again as there must be many nicer hotels at similar pricing or I rather pay more.

You can walk from the square where the church is located but it's not very close, say about a 20 minutes walk or get a cab.

Hi Ling Min According to its website, the family room has one king and one single bed that can accommodate a family of 4. Depending on your family setting e.g. 2 adults and 2 kids, it should be able to fit pretty easily. Cheers.
