The food was mainstream but the price really ridiculous for a small piece of fish. We were served in a plastic plate. No napkins as well. A tipic turistic trap.. a shamed. Do not go there. NO GO RESTAURANT.

Hi Alexandru B, We at Heeren House serve local Peranakan or Baba Nyonya cuisine. Your friend and you walked into our restaurant at about 11.10pm when our kitchen was already closed and most of the other restaurants in the area were closed too. However, we opened our kitchen for your very late order and your friend said that he doesn't...

To be perfectly honest, I've always stayed at new modern hotels on my travels so booking an old guest house that's built by the Dutch more than 200 years ago is a novel experience. When I arrived, I was struck by the quaintness of Heeren House and its antique furnishings which reminded me of my grandma's house that I grew...

Generally the staff of Heeren House were very friendly and we were warm-welcomed. I booked a night before the check in date through the website and they responded very fast to confirm the booking. The English breakfast was great and the portion was large enough for sharing. There was no parking for the guests. You need to park at the...

The hotel was clean, room with pretty nice view on the colorful harbor, the towel and bedding fresh. Whole hotel was in colonial style and looks quite good. Toilet clean, staff polite, service was very good. Room not the not cheapest but worth the price.

Dear Bart Jarz, Thank you for your compliments for Heeren House, it was an encouraging feedback for our team to maintain our services and heritage guesthouse and achieve further satisfaction for our customers. Me and my 2 friends stayed in this hostel for 3 nights. We liked the location and staff very much. In the other hand, breakfasts wasnt what we expected for "english breakfast" - two toasts with salted butter and one small fruit jam. Other thing we were dissapointed in was internet. It worked only sometimes and very slow. Otherwise everything...

Dear Pavel, We appreciate your review and good feedback to us for our constant improvement. We would like to mention that the limited breakfast that you and your friends had was because the twin single room was occupied by 3 of you and your friends and only charged at a rate for 2 person. Therefore, our staff had already explained...

We arrived on a busy Sunday morning in Malacca and visited four different properties in this historic neighborhood to see where we wanted to stay. Heeren House was the clear winner: location, furnishings and hospitality. Ideally we wanted a room whose windows overlooked the river, and this was the place. Unlike all the other properties down the street, this was...

The Chicken Rendang was very good and very affordable. The staff are nice and helpful and the beers and drinks are cheap. The restaurant was built by the Dutch over 200 years ago and the staff were very cool in talking about it.

Being a Malaccan, i have basically eaten most of the nyonya restaurants in Melaka. This is the place for nyonya food. Some basic intro about the food. Ponteh Chicken-The idea of this dish is the fragrance and the gravy that is nice and mild thickness. This restaurant hits the mark. Their Kangkung belacan dish though looks watery at sight but...
