Checked in into Noble Resort Hotel Melaka after 3pm and received complimentary RM5 voucher. Used it to buy fries for little man. Got complimentary drinking water, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, sewing kit, comb, shower cap provided. Not bad got usb ports. Nice view of swimming pool from the room. Got 7-11, Family Mart nearby. Late nite supper no issue ‘cos got lots of options nearby. Only thing was that connecting room kept having power trip and air-con not working. So ended up no connecting rooms. Sian Got complimentary WiFi but needed to reconnect often. Think too many also using.

The hotel is sharing front desk & cafe with The Straits Hotel. Everything about the room is ok. The breakfast menu s not really variety . The Cafe was so crowded with the people. The guest take other people seat even we already ate and sat there. Most of them are tourist. So rude. The hotel staff suppose put sign occupied on the table so that the other people not sit at that table.

Novotel Malacca was fairly clean, but not as well maintained as the other Novotel chains that I have stayed in (e.g. Bangkok). The staff were not particularly helpful even though the hotel did not seem to be full (in fact, it seemed quite empty and presumably their staff would be more available to help the guests of the hotel). The blinds in the hotel room were spoilt (it could not retract) and it took us 3 calls to the reception before it got fixed - when they informed us that their staff would be sent up to fix the blinds, they did not appear despite us waiting for almost 1 hour. In the end, we went out and even after we came back to the room later that they, we were not informed about the blinds, nor was it fixed. We had to call the hotel staff once again to ask about the spoilt blinds before they informed us that it was spoilt. They did not ask what they could do for us, nothing, they just simply left it as that on the phone, and we did not press further. The mini fridge in the hotel room was also not working well, and nothing we put in the fridge was really chilled, it was just slightly cool. The room and toilets were fairly clean, but not very well maintained and the television was also not very good quality. Car park was safe, so nothing eventful.

One of the main drawbacks of this hotel is the unusually long wait time for the lift. Only two of the three lifts are functioning during the Christmas peak period we were there. When the lifts arrive, they are mostly fully occupied during peak hours. Even though I booked two rooms more than a month in advance for an adjoining room with one large bed and the other with twin beds for my kids, Unfortunately, no provisions were made or even attempted to placate us, rather than just a blunt retort that the hotel was full. I would only recommend this hotel for its locality and convenience to the Markota Parade and Palawan Shopping Mall. The mamak stall just outside the hotel serves great roti canai (Roti Prata for those from Singapore). The water pressure for the rain shower in my room is strong. The aircon in my room is also very cold regardless of which setting I adjusted the dial. Don't bother about the wifi in this hotel since it is running 2.4 GHz at an unbelievably slow speed. Mostly local Bahasa TV channels with a couple of Singapore channels stammering through (start-stop making it impossible to follow the program) due to the poor WIFI connectivity. All in all, although this is still a reasonable chic and clean hotel, I would go for the Double Tree hotel in my next visit!

Room is small, lighting is too dim in room, study and entrance light is flickering, toilet is mouldy, shower head is leaking. There is no sofa in room as published at the website. Wifi password given is incorrect, front desk promised will go to our room to check, however waited 20minutes no one came. As such we proactively go to the front desk, apparently we were given wrong password. Even though fixed later, it is unstable, keep disconnecting. At the same time, we feedback to front desk the multiple faulty facilities in room, however they request to send technician only, it’s 10pm, we can’t wait to refresh and rest, there is no sense of empathy! When we request for room move, the staff turns impatient and unfriendly, she moved us to next door. We were given a room without face towel setup, faulty shower curtain, there is leaking at the window when it rains. But we are too tired to go down to front desk again. Breakfast is pleasant, overall stay experience is bad. With the value paid, we deserve better quality of service and room.

Spent a night in this luxury hotel. Located in the centre of the town with walking distance to Jonker Street. Great experience with 5 stars service in all aspects. The room is new, neat and clean, and the room is well and uniquely with modern designed. The hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Morning breakfast is great and served with all varierty of foods with great taste. Will definitely return to stay in this hotel again.

Acceptable: Room is clean.. Next to a few halal eateries…many non halal surrounding the area.. There is a minimart opposite hotel.. Friendly staff…one of them is Mr Azizi who helped with our request. Walking distance to dataran merdeka..near to central for who are able to walk..if by grab or taxi about 5mins drive.. Lift needs a little improvement. Room is ok as in not that big but therez space to move comfortably. The jotel cafe is nice and cozy for coffee..
Downside but room for improvements: Hotel breakfast has nothing wow but has the basic spread - asian n a bit of western. Not much a spread but acceptable somehow. Not too bad for the taste. The hotel is a combine check-in with the straits hotel. Not so “warm welcome” entrance ambience but ok.. Limited tv channels.
Should have some scented purifier to feel more welcoming.
Its challenging to get Grab car..

The facilities in Novotel were new but service in hotel was terrifying. Bad is an understatement. Having waited 25 min at the ground level reception to check in, staff refused to check us in as we had a suite room and had to go 18th floor for check i . It was another 20 min wait on the 18th floor. The suite room was quite huge but there weren’t sufficient towels - no hand towels just bath towel. Bath spray was spoiled and water splatter all over. The centralized aircøn absorbed smoke from neighboring rooms. On the first night we had to endure bad cigarette smell which came through the aircøn. But nothing can be worse than the internet connection. Despite several calls to reception, internet connection remains bad. You could only check messages and nothing else. On our last day, we arrived at lounge for breakfast at 720 am but lounge was closed (supposed to open at 7 am) Several guests were upset and complained to reception only to be told that staff had not arrived yet and for us to take breakfast ground level. At check out we went direct to 18th floor lounge but there was no one so we headed ground level. Staff again was not happy that we were checking out ground level n we stated that we had a flight to catch and can’t waste time going up to 18th and wait for the staff arrival.
It was such a terrible experience abeit the location was fantastic. I’m not sure if we would ever return to this hotel again.

Value for money type of stay. Location is near all places that may be visited in Malacca aka Melaka. Staff are very helpful and always smiling. I love the idea that there’s a playroom for kids and a free 20 min use of computer

It was a very pleasant stay - one that was beyond my expectations, especially having read the reviews on Trip Advisor regarding the Premier Lounge regarding the quality of beverages and food prior to my arrival. My 4 nights stay was simply too short, and I wish I could stay longer. I attribute this pleasant stay to Mohammed (I hope I spelled it right) from the lounge, who is an epitome of service and standard. He knows exactly how a lounge should be - from the display of food and beverages to service. During my stay, he remembered my name, engaged in conversations and made me feel at home. A gem in your team.
Location wise: fantastic. A short stroll to great sights and food.
Food at the lounge for Evening Cocktail and breakfast was good.
Well-appointed room.
Check out at the front desk was smooth and speedy. Will be back for a longer stay when I get the chance to.
