I reserved two rooms, one for me, my husband and son, and another for my parents. My stay here exceeded all expectations. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed with modern amenities but retained its vintage charm. The room to accommodate my son had an extra day bed in addition to the king size bed. It should be noted the day bed was more than ample for 2 children. The hotel's location was one street offset from Jonker walk and close to the river (less than 10 mins walk) making it extremely convenient. The buffet breakfast spread was a nice surprise and rather tasty. It included both local fare i.e. chicken porridge (bubur), fried noodles, rice and chicken ("ayam masak merah") and an assortment of pastries when we sat to eat. Last but certainly not least, the staff was exceptional and very helpful. Each and every one I encountered went out of their way to answer questions or assist. A great experience and would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Melaka. Highly recommended!

Love the interior and exterior of Heeren Palm Suites. The location is just a little distance from the hussle buzz of Jonker Walk. Occupancy was niche which was perfect for me especially after MCO..i think total rooms are 10-15 rooms with different setting all together. Breakfast is specially for selected menus but it has been good for a 4d3n stays.

Charming, large rooms with all the amenities you need. A perfect location for us to explore Malacca. A hotel with flair and history next to Jonker Walk. Lovingly renovated. Many thanks to the nice and friendly staff. And Hussain has always been a great help to us.

Breakfast variety too little. Room is spacious. Bed is comfy. Every room's decoration is different. Interesting! Has a sofabed aside from a 2 seater loveseat in our room. Sofa bed is of sturdy quality. We searched and found out it was an italian brand expensive sofa! Very nice Peranakan theme boutique hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Location convenient. Definitely come back again in future!

There’s a seemingly endless list of boutique hotels in Melaka housed in traditional Dutch colonial buildings which makes it hard to choose where to stay. Some seem impossibly cheap and others rather costly, but you won’t go wrong selecting Heeren Palm Suites - originally renovated by DBS Bank in 1990 and used as their private accommodation, before subsequently becoming a hotel. Centrally located in the historic part of town, minutes from Jonker St. and many good restaurants, it retains a lot of original colonial character in excellent condition (wooden doors, tiled floors and walls etc.), is kept clean and tidy, and managed by friendly and helpful staff.

We had one of the smaller suites, which was still quite huge, and featured a large bathroom, excellent rain shower, very chilly aircon, and comfortable firm bed. Breakfast is relatively simple but includes fruit, pastries, noodles, cereal, and eggs to order. Kudos to the “breakfast Auntie” who specially cooked MSG-free noodles for my wife! If you’re driving, the hotel has off-street parking round the back, which is a definite bonus in the old town.

If you have a choice, request one of the inner courtyard rooms as those facing the road can get a bit noisy at night.

A faster WiFi, better TV news channels and more bathroom amenities would help raise the standard. But despite these issues it’s a very pleasant place to stay, being friendly, clean, good value and well located. We’ll definitely be back!

Stayed at their largest suite last night (on the third floor facing the street in front on the hotel - - room 301). The room was huge, modern, very clean with comfortable bed and a day bed. We were very happy with the hotel and our room until night came.

We could not sleep until 2 am+ due to all the noise from the street in front of the hotel. Those party rickshaws passed every minute with music turned up all the way until passed 1 am. There were also loud motorcycles passing in between those rickshaws. We could also hear every conversation and every laughter from the street. Felt like we were sleeping on the street.

We paid for their best room yet it turned out to be the worse room to sleep in EVER!
The room we had should not be used as a guest room.

We will never come back to this hotel.

We drove and stayed there for 3D2N over a super long weekend recently. The location is very close to the Jonker Street heritage area with ample shopping and eateries. Bigger malls, museums and night markets are all at a short distance away. The hotel is newly refurbished and has very nice traditional ambience. The room has a very modern peranakan feel to it and the TV was state of the art and interrnet was reasonably fast. The bathroom is modern and has a good rainshower. Front desk was very helpful and managed to secure a reserved lot for us. Breakfast selection is limited but adequate. Will return for another stay in the future.

The front room of the hotel, room 301 should not be given to accommodate any guests. The noise from the main road at night drove us crazy. It was on the route for the trishaws which played loud techno music, so every time one rode by , the room reverberated like a disco. This carried on till 2 am. Every time you thought it was over, another one came by. The worst kind of torture. The staff must have known about this problem but still gave us this room despite there being 4 other family rooms empty. Seriously annoyed!

Olden Peranakan house transformed to a modern hotel, spacious and clean although a little pricey. If you are renting a car, do make sure you do not park on the parking slots My room was rather front-faced, near the stairs so it was noisy when people past by, I could hear the next door showering because the noise-cancellation system are not so good. The bed was however, very good as I had a great night sleep and the room is very interesting.

Yes, they can block right in front, along the main road or at the back, where it's more ample and easier to get in and out.
