Well, it would seem that some things have fallen thru the cracks since the last time I was here. While the holy trinity still presents itself in good sleep, decent WIFI, good shower pressure. Wear and tear and neglect are very evident. The TV reception is especially horrendous, why even have cable channels? Breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. I get that the diminished mid-week fare stems from the expected reduced guests, which is not even true in this case as there were sizeable crowds the 2 mornings we were there. I think there was a company group, and a social club (biking perhaps) that were also staying.

We booked a room (2606), Executive with a balcony for a weekend birthday staycation and was welcomed to a room decorated with a "Happy Birthday Hubby" banner and balloons. What a thoughtful and sweet gesture The Pines Melaka - thank you to Ms Vanitha (Especially 😍) & housekeeping teams with amazing deco and I will consider this as the best decoration so far. I am impressed with the comfy, clean, big room, spacious toilet and bath tub and big balcony with facing water front view..The setup candle light dinner deco are great and food is delicious too..The thoughtful arrangement and the great value the has to offer. What a lovely experience........ ❤Take care and stay safe and I will definitely to stay here again as The Pines is my first choice,😃

Fantastic stay! The room is comfortable in every way, plenty of space. Beautiful view of Melaka city from the room. Helpful and friendly staff, just walking distance to city centre. Have our breakfast in the hotel , excellent and attentive service from the restaurant staffs. Their fruit Yee sang is a must try! Even my elderly, health-conscious mum and aunt loved the fresh and refreshing Yee sang so much.

We stayed in the Executive Suite with 2 bedrooms and everything was fantastic. Housekeeping was great and the beds were comfortable with plenty of space. Large balcony overlooking the river with great scenery. Pool was not too big or deep for swimmers so it's more of a pool for kids. The only letdown is the breakfast buffet at the Oaks which was very basic and not quite up to a hotel standard. You are better off finding breakfast places outside. So please do not book the hotel breakfast. The carpark was spacious and free for guests and appears quite secure. Overall, we love the great rooms which was new and upkept well and will recommend this hotel for families who need more space.

This is my 2nd time staying here; was Covid. Been to a few hotels around Msia after Covid and i would like to extend my satisfaction to this hotel. From the parking to the front desk to the restaurant n to swimming pool staff, they were very welcoming. Room were clean too. The downside is juz the variety of food served for breakfast BUT hey thats ok though for the price paid. Keep up the great job!

Stayed with husband + 1 child for 3D2N. The location is great, walkable distance to tourism areas and has a number of eateries around too. The poolside suite we got was also beautiful as it oversees the busy streets of Melaka and the river. Room was comfy, direct access to the swimming pool. Staffs at the front desk and cafe were also friendly and welcoming. Driving to the hotel is also a breeze as there was ample parking available and is complimentary for staying in guests.

Stayed for two nights as a family with young children. Great service, room was spacious, well-appointed and had great view. Pool very nice. Location is about 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to historic centre. Have convenience store and great street food nearby. It is along the river bank where you can easily walk to great places to eat and drink. Location will be a plus or minus depending on what you want. Only minus was breakfast, options not the most and same each day. But not bad either. Overall would stay again when I go back to Melaka.

My favourite post-covid hotel now. Rates are reasonable. Rooms are very spacious, compared to those in Melaka Raya. We indulged and booked the Junior Suite, but the Premier King was almost as large! Some of our rooms had a lovely view of the river. Little things that made a huge difference : Newly appointed bathrooms. Our accessible bathroom was fitted with the necessary bars. Aircon was powerful and cooled the room fast. The mattress topper was the winner - beds were very comfortable yet firm. My favourite touch - clean, fresh bedlinen that were crisp and clean. Only downside : minibar simply did not work. Our room safe also gave some trouble. The lifts were fast and worked very well. Carpark was ample, and one evening I went to my car alone to retrieve something - saw the security patrolling ! Felt safe ! Breakfast set was simple, tasty Malaysian dishes, and we loved the coffee - thick, milky and sweet. Dad’s half-boiled eggs were done to perfection! Hotel service was prompt; every request we made was attended to instantly. It could be that the hotel was quite empty after a very full week (school holidays just over), but the service was efficient and pleasant. The hotel is in the middle of town - so unless you have a car, it is still some distance to the tourist streets, but not inaccessible. Will definitely be returning to this hotel for our next Malaccan Jaunt !

Well & nice stay. Ample car parks. Within vicinity to city centre. Except I was placed at the same floor with swimming pool. Kids laughters were rather loud & clear in the morning at 8:30am. Other than this, overall is well.
