We arrived Mobile excited to see the city after talking to Steve, the innkeeper of Berney Fly B & B, when I had booked rooms two months ago. Upon checking in we were welcomed by Steve and shown a beautiful home where we stayed the next 2 days. He gave us great suggestions of places to visit and made us...

B&B in an 1895 house in a historic district just outside downtown. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. Steven is a welcoming host, with great knowledge about Mobile and the surrounding area. He provided some excellent recommendations for things to see and do. He also provided a very good breakfast!

Our four night stay last week was just what we wanted. We truly enjoyed everything: the charming vintage feel, the delicious breakfasts (especially the cheese grits and banana pancakes), the neighborhood and proximity to the Mardi Gras parade route, the beautifully landscaped back yard/pool area, and especially chatting with Steven every morning as he cooked our fabulous breakfast. When we...

This inn is in an 1895 Victorian house that needs some more updating. Our room was heated with an electric space heater that never got the room warm even with the ceiling fan trying to bring the heat down. Some rooms have central air and heat. Being very frugal, there are no guest size bars of soap, hand lotion, or...

This review is not offered out of meanness. TripAdvisor readers rely on candor and honesty. Location is good. Condition of the place is shabby. No labor of love here. Lousy pillows and bed linens. Very unprofessionally run. Bathroom deplorable. Spend more money for a nice b&b, or go to a hotel. The owner is clearly inexperienced and not committed to...

I spent one night during my roadmap and had an excellent experience staying at Berney Fly. Steven was a lovely host with interesting stories to tell about the house and Mobile. He also gave good tips for restaurants and things to do. The room was beautiful and very clean, and the breakfast great. Highly recommended, very good value for the...

Wonderful B&B. Great hosts who's advice helped me plan out a solo road trip of the South. Very welcoming and accommodating. Room very well appointed and a good night's sleep. Fantastic breakfast. In a beautiful neighbourhood well within walking distance of downtown Mobile.

We arrived in Mobile for a post Christmas/ New Years treat to ourselves. When reviewing possible accommodations for our stay we noted the overwhelming number of positive comments about the knowledge and helpfulness of the Steven the Innkeeper. Since we have never been to Mobile we wanted someone that would ground our stay but would give us insight and an...

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Berney Fly Bed and Breakfast in Mobile, Alabama on our way to Louisiana and spent a second weekend at the Bed and Breakfast on our way back to Georgia! This was a delightful place to stay. Steven, the innkeeper, was a gracious host. The home is in a historic area of...

It's like coming home, only better. We have stayed here on two prior trips. Having booked all three rooms now, I can honestly say we loved the pool side bungalow as we sat up late at night talking. But the inside rooms are wonderful and also closer to the morning coffee! Breakfasts are to die for, oh so good! Also,...
