I've never actually been to the lodge. I wanted to take my mother there for their Mother's Day brunch that was mentioned on their webpage. I sent them a message on Facebook. This was the easiest option because I am not suppose to be on personal calls at work. Since Facebook messenger lets you see if the message has been...

The lodge was sort interesting because it has sort of a historical look about it, (but I was disappointed to hear that it was built in the early 1990s). The room didn't have TV in it and the furniture was a little beat up. The bathroom was a little moldy but clean nonetheless. The rest of the village sort of...

Amazing place for a getaway. Best for couples. Great views, superb lodge (or cottages to rent), chef-prepared meals. Hiking trails along the bluff overlooking the Tennessee River. Swimming (in warmer months). Understated and not ostentatious. A must visit place when you need to retreat from the hustle and bustle of life! Great spot for anniversary celebrations--we just finished celebrating our...

Lodge on Gorham's Bluff was a great place to spend an anniversary weekend. The interior settings were peaceful and suited our expectations. The room was extremely pleasant. A balcony overlooking the bluff and a gas log fireplace were great ambiance. Dinner was wonderful (Filet with sides). Breakfast left a bit to be desired. The largest eyesore was that the grounds...

We were the only guests at the facility during our stay - now we understand why. The actual bluff itself is very beautiful. Gorgeous view into the Tennessee River Valley. Seems like the place is just a failed experiment. The entire community was a bit run-down. Road in need of some serious repair. The house was decent, but very obviously...

Beautiful view of Tennessee River in romantic and quiet setting. Food from Lodge was very good. Bikes available but it was difficult to find two with chains on and air in tires. Undergrowth obstructs some of the views from the bluff and needs to be cleared out. We stayed at Greek Revival cottage. The bed was very comfy but blinds...

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by staying in the Greek Revival cottage for two nights, eating supper twice and breakfast twice at the lodge during our stay. It is obvious that the developer had grand plans that didn't come near to complete fruition, but what has been built seems sustainable. Your stay can be wonderful, if you manage...

Our 40th Anniversary weekend was spent in 109 Laurel Street, a cute one bedroom/2 bath Charleston style row house. The Bluff views were spectacular and as predicted we had opportunity to enjoy it while the room was being readied for us. The house was comfortable and quiet but, as others have said, was lacking in housekeeping, insect control and maintenance....

Spent a weekend there based on recommendations from friends and its reputation. It certainly is a beautiful location overlooking the Tennessee River high on a bluff, but the lodge itself is in desperate need of cleaning, painting, and general upkeep. The room, although made up for new guests, had dirty windows and mirrors, cobwebs on the balcony along with peeling...

I highly recommend staying in a room at this inn, or renting a cottage for large parties/further privacy. The view off the bluff of soaring bald eagles, forest preserve and pristine waters is breathtaking. I went on a sister's weekend, but the inn and cottages are perfect for couples, families, weddings, reunions and retreats. I wish they had a guest...
