I booked this hotel in advance because it was suggested by G adventures. Unfortunately both of the rooms that I had were awful. I prepaid for a couple of nights on my own with a very rundown room but didn't complain too much. This hotel...More
Old, tired and out-dated. Dirty carpets. Smoky.
Breakfast area was like a motorway canteen.
Rudest bar 'maid' ever. Refusing to serve us 30 mins before closure.
We received such lovely hospitality throughout our stay in Shanghai - but managed to find a most unfriendly place.
We stayed here as part of a tour ending in Shanghai. The breakfast was pretty good with western and Chinese options. Tea and coffee wasn't great. However, there is a Starbucks over the road for your coffee fix. The location is decent it's close to...More
The hotel did a decent breakfast catering for both western and Chinese cuisines, the room was very nice too. The staff were very friendly, especially the two men who were dealing with baggage holdings at the front of the hotel.

Was supposed to be wheelchair accessible but isn't. Location-wise it's also not great: close to a huge intersection. Staff doesn't speak English and rooms stink of cigarettes. Avoid unless you are a smoker.

Shanghai’s original walls live on in the curve of the streets that serve as the border to the old city. An aerial view shows a clear circular outline and parts of the original wall are preserved as monuments to the ancient past. The main tourist attraction of Yuyuan (which means Yu garden, though it is often redundantly referred to as Yuyuan Garden) draws hordes of tourists every day, but wandering the streets around the
complex reveals more exciting attractions such as food and antique markets. There are also streets lined with shops peddling everyday wares such as Chinese dining ware and craft notions that can be even more enticing to visitors uninterested in the usual tourist fare.

I always used Taxi (cab) from Pudong Airport to hotel & it cost me RMB 160 to RMB 170 and will take 40-50Minutes.. I would agree that there is language problem but if you have the address in Chinese (with map) then there is no problem.. Once you will come out from exit area after collecting your luggage (in building only) , you will find sign for taxi stand, just go there & you will find taxi stand. Here you will not face any problem, since here airport staff is arraigning the Cabs.. If you need I will send you the hotel card in Chinese (scanned copy).
