I stayed five nights in a standard single room. The room was very small, but was clean and had everything I needed, The air-con worked well, which is essential as Shanghai can get hot and muggy. There was plenty of hot water and the cable TV worked well. The wifi would not work in my room, but I was able...

We the subway to this hotel rather than a taxi which would have cost too much money. The room was small but it was comfortable enough. Bed comfortable and good bathroom. We had breakfast but as we were vegans we couldn't eat too much as there was egg and yoghurt. We stayed 3 nights which was good, we could walk...

The room was very tiny. The shower and bathroom were great and very clean. The location was the best for us because we wanted to walk to the subway and Nanjing road. Lots of places to eat and hang out nearby. The front desk is not very helpful and could improve on their English to provide a better experience for...

Hotel front may not shown to be appealing, but the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Simple breakfast is included, wifi, A/C, in room LCD TV, shower related items provided, tea making & hot shower. Make sure you get ready the map with clear direction, otherwise it can be confusing. Actually it's pretty neat to People Square metro...

I am travelling round the world and have stayed in many hotels and this is one of the worst. Check in was difficult as no one spoke any English or even tried to be helpful. The room was a disgrace dirty and in severe need of redecoration, when complained about this the receptionist just laughed in my face! The services...

Stayed there for 5 nights in their standard room on the 4th floor in mid March 2016. Hotel location, walking distance from People's Square metro on Line 2, green line in the metro map. This is also the line to the Pudong International Airport. We took the metro from the airport. Easy access with luggage if the escalators are working!...

Due to the fact that I had a slight change of plans during my stay in Shanghai, I had to book this hotel at the very last minute. At first I was very skeptic due to the low price, but man I was wrong. The room was clean and tidy, decent bathroom and it even had a small window facing...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
