This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything, from check in to checkout was flawless. The hotel itself physically, is absolutely beautiful. Only three years old, every aspect of the hotels design is wonderful. We upgraded to red level. This is really worth doing. It cost us an extra £46 per night. This included free Internet...

My husband and I have just returned from four nights at this hotel. Great initial impressions as were upgraded to a River View room upon arrival (hubby's company was paying, so had booked us in to a cheaper City View room.) The lobby is expansive, light and airy with a bar on one side, the check-in desk on the other...

I spent a few days in Gran Melia Shanghai and I really recomend this Hotel. Concierge, Front Desk and Red Level service is just excelent. Location is good, and if you take a taxi to Puxi it will just cost you no more than 4E. Go to the 28th floor and try the breakfast with the best views of the...

I went to this hotel as it was opposite my company's office. Superb service and location (if you are working in the financial district). The room was spacious, bathroom included shower and separate bath. The king size bed was perfect. Room service was fast and the food excellent. I did not have time to use the Spa or swimming pool,...

Stay was pleasant, gym is great as it is with great views. TV didn't work for the first day but decided to work after that. Overall, I wouldn't rush back but will probably try it again as it is in a great spot. I imagine as time goes on the staff will become more experienced.

This is my first choice hotel in my past two years and I’ve stayed for 100+ nights, not just because of the fantastic location, convenience, nice hotel design, great food (Chinese and Italian), nice swimming pool, SPA….etc. most important thing to me is the staff in this hotel serve me from their heart, it’s so warm and appreciated. We usually stay near the pedestrian East Nanjing Road but this time we decided to stay in Pudong for a change. We chose the Gran Melia because it has the best location for its price. We were not disappointed. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the Lujiazui metro, the Super Brand Mall and IFC Mall. One of our...

I was traveling with my entire family and booked 2 rooms for 4 nights each. The photos of the rooms on the hotel website and very misleading. The superior rooms are extremely small but they have shown photos of a deluxe room. When I confronted the reception staff with this, one lady in particular who was the front office manager...

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
