Not sure if the hotel has been doing room renovations but the room we stayed in looked much nicer than the pictures on the website (room #730). We actually had a comfy King size bed instead of the double bed we booked. This may be...More
Stayed here for a few nights in the single room for about US$37 a night. Definitely a good location as it's situated close to Dashijie metro station and a good option of eateries nearby. Close enough to People's Square. The traditional Chinese restaurant "De Xing...More

Fabulous hotel for the money: clean; great staff; secure; really great location; laundry area; free breakfast! Only problem was the noise.

People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and
work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
