Checked this place out because the location was good and the price was right. In spite of requesting a non-smoking room, I was given one that reeked of smoke. Asked to change, but this was refused. At night it was cold, and this was owing to the large single pane glass windows that were not adequately insulated. Also the heating...

The self service hotel had everything you need! Washing machine also in the room. Cleaned daily and to a good standard considering many other hotels I have stayed at in Shanghai. The location is great, with a tube train just near by on west Nanjing road which also as a beautiful temple situated on it. Directly outside the hotel there...

We were satisfied with our one week stay in this apartment. Don't be discourage when you enter the building and the room. This is not a trendy and new place. But you don't stay there for the building. You stay there for the great location, helpful and friendly staff. Room is spacious with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and washer....

Let me make it clear I was pleased with Skiline and would stay again. However, just make sure you are not expecting a 4 star hotel. Also to find it, look at the pix here because the address is misleading--the address is 199 Wulumuqi Road, literally the same building has an entrance (for an office) on Wulumuqi but with a...

I first stayed here 3 yrs ago whilst looking for long term accommodation, the rooms were fine for the price and the best thing was laundry included. I returned again last month and found that the price hasn't increased with the same service provided. Absolute bonus! Finally, for jingan this service apartment is best for location and getting around the...

Great wifi, washing machine and simple dryer in the room, watertap (big bottle of water for just 25 RMB), lovely cleaninglady, despite of the languagebarier they're doing the best they can (one day she took care of our laundry which was still in de washing machine). Perfect location, good neighborhood, just a few minutes from the metro line 2 (directly...

The Skiline is an OK hotel for a citytrip: the location is excellently close to metro/bus stations and all kinds of facilities you might need. The room could use a touch up, especially the bathroom could use some maintenance here and there. Other than that, no complaints about the service and cleaning services, that's all good. I'ts a good value...

Great location near restaurants and the subway. It's located in a quieter residential area of Shanghai. It's very easy to access all the city from that location by subway or taxi (from 2 to 4$). The place was really quiet. The bed is extra firm like all Chinese beds. A bit too hard for western standards.

Our first time to Asia & a memorable holiday. So many different attractions: gardens, temples, skyscrapers , museums, old parts of a city with plenty of history... Don't miss The Bund, by day & also by night, visit some temples: the Jade Buddha Temple (over-commercialised), Jing'An Temple -on the door-step!- was more impressive as was the temple at Longhua which...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
