눇We spent the Christmas holiday there. The breakfast is excellent with different choices of food. The facilities are good, especially the swimming pool.It was enjoyable to get relaxed in the Executive lounge. I like the wine and cakes, as well as the helpful staff. Even though the two days were rainy and cold, you did not feel bored. There were...

Dear Geinyfer, Thank you for preferring our hotel over the Christmas holidays and I was very pleased to read that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. On a future stay do have a look at our Family Suite when you are making reservations as this room type provides additional space and is often very attractively priced. Thank...

Had 2 nights here on the Executive Club floor. Room & bathroom were fantastic, everything you needed, great views from floor 36, really well decorated. Slept like a baby in the sumptious bed with fine cotton bedding, pillows amazing. Executive Club floor lounge on 37 floor, breakfast everything you need, says continental but eggs how you like them and the...

Stayed here with my wife and her parents while visiting family. Hotel is very high end, much nicer than Marriotts I'm used to in America. Higher floors have some amazing views of the Shanghai skyline, although I don't know if you can swing those if you're not an ultra-elite Marriott Rewards member like my father in law. Staff's English skills...

Dear Jack K, Thank you for posting a review of your recent experience at our hotel and the rating with full marks is much appreciated. Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum members have indeed priority for upgraded higher floor rooms but our “Skyline Rooms” can also be booked. Considering the impressive Shanghai city and night views this is highly recommended. We...

Marriott was a good hotel that offered good service and clean rooms. It's located in the heart of the city which provided both a mix of modern and old charms. Around the back there are great local restaurants and shops and in the front it is the shopping district and close to the Bund.

This hotel is very comfortable. The room was great - bed, shower, A/C, noise level etc. I've rarely stayed in such comfortable rooms. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had so I highly recommend that. The location of the property is good too with easy access to all the major sights. Typical Marriott reliability. My only...

In term of location this is definitely one of the best hotels in Shanghai to stay, being rather centralised and convenience to move around. The service is excellence, especially if you have access to the lounge facilities and the view from the lounge is just great. Room design is rather modern with more than adequate toiletries provided in the bathroom....

Location of the hotel is excellent! Took me approximately 5 minutes to walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and People's Square subway station. I stayed here in the executive room with lounge access. Check-in was flawless, however, I was told that my room was upgraded. Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
