This hotel is a good choice if you have business in the area which is otherwise a residential area with quite a few local, Japanese and western bars/restaurants nearby due to being a popular area for long-stay foreigners, otherwise it's a 15-20 min walk to Jing An Temple/Metro station. Front desk staffs don't speak English very well, but then most...

Globally satisfied with the quality price ratio in this hotel in which I stayed about one month. The room was comfortable and big enough and the place is surrounded by a lot of restaurants and 24/7 small supermarkets. I have noted two main disadvantages: 1) no one really speaks English at the reception which makes communication difficult from time to...

Last week I went back to this hotel and was very satisfied. While rooms are still comfortable and in a good shape (clean, quiet, well designed), staff service has very much improved and is now very good, smiling and efficient. Wifi is also much more efficient than it was 4 years ago. Due to its location and its good balance...

Overall, I liked this hotel, and I'll be happy to stay here again. First, the rooms themselves are clean, maybe about 20 - 30 square meters in size (or at least mine was), and the room/bathroom fixtures are contemporary. There was no carpet on the floor, but the wood laminate on the floor was reasonably warm in the winter, so...

I was in Shanghai and my friend in Shanghai booked me into this hotel. its a small and cosy hotel. Its a 3 star hotel. At check in, the receptionist were friendly with the check in and provided me with the password for the complimentary WIFI internet. There are only 2 elevators in this hotel and its a bit slow...

We stay there for a tradeshow in Shanghai. The hotel is about 10mins walk to Subway station. The facility is good, the price is pretty attractive for the standard it can achieve. If talk about only disadvantage, as usual happening in China, they don't have enough staff in front desk. Thus have to take the time if need to have...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.

“do try and get a mid level floor like between 10 and 16 so that you don't have to wait too long for the elevator. Room facing the back of the hotel is better as its quieter and you might not hear the city bus coming pass the main road in front of the hotel”
