This hotel is showing a bit of age. The room was clean but small. I was supposed to be on the executive floor but the bathroom was very small. I can't imagine the rooms on the other levels. There is no comparison between this hotel and the Beijing Hilton, the rooms are like night and day. The executive lounge was...

Due to flight delay to Pudong we arrived at the SHA Hilton in early AM. A long taxi ride for 4 @ higher night time rate was 240 cny. Our large corner room #25 p(quiet & away from foot traffic) right near the elevator has a large sleeping area with smaller old fashion style bathroom bath/shower (wish more water pressure)....

I have used the Hilton Shanghai on numerous occasions and as always very impressed, If there was one gripe the rooms I have stayed in need a spruce up, it's getting rather tired looking. Other than that the Staff attentive and couldn't do more to make my business trip pleasurable. Breakfast range was great, anything you could want was catered...

The hotel is located in the middle of the city. The surrounding area is under construction for subway. 10 min walk to any public transportation. Old people be aware of the stairs of the overpass, not convenient at all. At least 10 min walk to find a decent restaurant. The staffing are very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is...

I do love this hotel and always stay there when in shanghai - about 3 times per year. There is something familiar to me - it's the smell, it doesn't smell like my home but evocates a feeling of home. I love the breakfast too - good omelette, friendly staff. Great internet connection both in the room and in the...

Stayed here on a business trip to Shanghai for two nights and had a good stay. The property feels a little dated, but is pleasant enough. While there was not much to do in the immediate vicinity, a couple minute walk across the street leads you to a main road with a good selection of restaurants.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
