My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the start of Wendy Wu tour. This was our first experience in this beautiful city and this hotel was simply the best. The rooms were fine, the beds comfortable and the bathroom magnificent. The food in the restaurant was very very good and a mixture of eastern and western and...

Our rooms were well furnished although rather small for the luxurious standard that we were accustomed to in other Four Seasons. We do not feel welcome here perhaps due to the fact that we travelled with three young children. We were given the "evil eye" look by the hotel staff whenever our children ran across the (small) lobby. Perhaps they...

I went to Shanghai on a business trip during July 2011 and decided to stay with them as I was convinced by one of the sales manager from 4Seasons Samui. These are my opinion toward this hotel 1.I arranged the airport pick up with the hotel and it was fast. Driver spoke little English. But he was polite and drive...

I was there during a conference held in the hotel, the prices they gave were a discounted rate of 20% and even for a normal rate the Hotel was pretty cheap compared what you had to pay for five star hotels in Europe. The hotel location was great in terms of how close it was to shopping areas which was...

I've stayed at many of the Four Seasons properties throughout the world. This one just doesn't seem to rise to the level of excellence of what I would expect of the Four Seasons. The room I stayed in was pretty small and seemed of very average. The furnishings started to look dated. It didn't fail short on anything per se...

The Four Seasons in Shanghai is often criticized as being below par for a Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel is certainly not as glitzy and premium as some of the other properties in the chain, but it is very well located, well maintained, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. Compared to other five star international hotels on the...

I had a very pleasant 3-nights-stay during in the Chinese new year of 2010. The service is great. Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
