I had a beautiful large room looking out over the river (just steps from the hotel) and across the river to the Bund. Room was well appointed and comfortable, public areas are nice, and staff very hospitable. Very convenient location to many of the spots I wanted to get to in Pudong.

Stayed at this hotel during a 4 day stay in Shanghai. Overall good experience, roomsare decent size, however there was some issues with the bathroom - as it seems a bit dated. Breakfast was overpriced. But what really works for this hotel is the location which is quite central in Pudong business area near IFC malls and a lot of...

Arrived at 10AM to the hotel, went to reception to check in only to not be rudely greeted by the receptionist. Every question I ask was answered with one word answers that were of no help! Even then I said thank you and good night and her response was to turn her back and walk off! Same story with the...

On location and value, considering I've never stayed any other in this huge city. It's been since 2007 that I stayed. If I'm not mistaken we took MEG train from airport; this was so convenient and a highlight unto itself. One of the fastest trains in the world at this time, it didn't take long to got there. Location, location,location!...

Every thing was satisfactory. I was there to attend the World chest congress 2016 held in Shanghai international convention center. It was in the same building. My room was in level 3 river view suite. My other colleague attended at the congress , gathered in my room to see the evening view of bund from my floor to roof window...

This is a smart choice when attending a conference. Great location close to the city with great river views. Very good fitness centre but the pool a little cold. Nice area for catching up for a drink but struggled to get service. I found the buffet breakfast a bit of a struggle but a few options still

More like a 4-star hotel instead of 5-star. Hotel lobby looks classic and clean. However, room interior looks too old. I think this hotel needs a renovation although it is not a major problem considering the average price. Hotel service is also average.

The hotel looks impressive from the outside apart from the very unfriendly looking security boy who glared at us like we were aliens from another planet. Enter the lobby equally impressive. Check in was a nightmare with our Chinese interpreter commenting on the poor service standard. The place seemed deserted as we headed up to our rooms (three in all)...

The hotel is very elegant and luxurious but the rooms are not quite what you would expect looking at the lobby. They are clean, comfortable and homey. The service is exemplary. Metro stop is located nearby but there are also cabs around the entrance. The breakfast is sumptuous.

Great views of the bund from my room and also the fitness center. I ran on treadmill in the morning and enjoyed watching kites being flown from across the river. There is also a cool, trippy tourist underground tunnel tour thing directly south of the hotel. Great experience.

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
Lujiazui
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
