The hotel has a very good location, which is near West Nanjing subway - around 10 mins walk only. However, rooms are not that clean, no windows in the single/double room, and the AC is very bad!

We stayed here as the first stop on a Wendy Wu tour - jet lag and a rather rough flight meant we didn't fully appreciate the area but it's well situated for shopping and eating outside of formal tours.

The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same
quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
