Stayed two nights for a football weekend. Check in very easy, very friendly staff and helpful.Rooms are nice nothing fancy plenty of room. Property is beautiful, plenty of area for nice long walks, yacht club, golf course and water fountains to enjoy while walking. Continental breakfast was okay nothing outstanding. VERY quiet and restful out of the way location.

The hotel wasn't the normal type of hotel we are used to staying. It was more of a themed and rustic looking hotel. The roo was smaller and we had a lot of trouble with the AC and humidity in the room. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The breakfast was a minimal type with cereal, pastries, fruit and beverages:...

From the time on the phone to make our reservation to and throughout our stay at this magnificent property, it has been years since we have had such a delightful experience. The owner is a hands-on proprietor whose goal is nothing short of excellence. The facility wreaks of cleanliness, atmosphere and extremely well-trained courteous staff. We have found a home...

Very beautiful property. Rooms were very well decorated and clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Disappointed that we did mot have the use of a pool, you had to be a member of the Yacht club. Georgeous grounds for strolling.

Stayed here for a wedding. It's gorgeous and would make an excellent kid free weekend away. However, the stairs overlooking the lobby completely freaked me out because my son could easily fit between the rails! We had multiple key issues and when I sat on the bench in our room to put my shoes on, the legs came off, dropping...

We loved the location. Our room was clean, but dated. Parking lot filled with potholes and not maintained. Rates seem to vary for graduation weekend as our party all had different rates. We were told that we could not bring in our own wine or beer, but we noticed others on the patio with coolers and plastic cups apparently enjoying...

Probably great in the early eighties, this potential gem needs lots of work. Bathroom was very nice and completely renovated but that appears to be where they stopped. Walls are paper thin and parking lot is full of pot holes. We were able to clearly hear conversations next door, even able to hear the opening of a bottle of medicine,...

I have stayed multiple times at the Yellowhammer, now Jack Warner Inn. The recent changes are nothing shy of perfection. A true active museum setting with the comforts of home. Most of the time it has been game day weekends and the prices are far cheaper than the cheapest "dive" in Tuscaloosa the way they gouge on those weekends. The...

For the price of this hotel it is a complete disappointment. About 15 minutes from the university, it is a easy ride out to the hotel. The rooms are dark (very little light) and an old appearance. In our particular room the air was set on 66 and it would never cool down, just blew humid air the entire time....

Booked here for a ballgame weekend, so it was $300 per night. I don't know what the regular rates are, as they are not available online. First, the setting is beautiful - kind of like a lodge set back in the woods. It is an older hotel that has been nicely renovated. Breakfast is included, which consists of bacon, biscuits,...
