At the end of long vacation, two tired guests rolled into Alegria B&B after dark for an early morning departure from SJO. Alegria is easy to find if one follows the map, but George is always available by phone if needed. George was most accommodating and considerate. He gave us a quick tour of his beautiful home, showed us our...

Very comfortable and cosy B&B not far away from the airport - with the best breakfast within the whole country. The helpful owner George makes oneself a home in a foreign country. We spent the first and the last day of our holiday trip in this little B&B and we really enjoyed every minute over there. Perfect for starting or...

When we arrived, we rent a car from the airport but could not find the way to B&B, and George is so kindly picked us from the car rental place. When leaving Costa Rica, since our flight was 6:40am, George got up as early as we did and packed sandwiches and gave us a ride to the airport. (Thank you...

This was our first intro/exposure to Costa Rica and it was so comfortable and pleasant, we booked a night for our return trip home. George offered to pick us up from the airport as we arrived at 9:30 p.m. Loved just about everything of this bed & breakfast-- the price, the room, the location, the vibe. George is an especially...

We stayed at Alegria the first night and the last night of our honeymoon. George, the owner, met us outside of Customs at the airport with a sign with our names on it. He drove us to his hotel. The 'Hotel' is a large 5-bedroom house with 5 bathrooms. It is like staying in someone's home as a guest, not...

George is such a wonderful guy and host! I was having credit card problems and he let me use his Skype to make a call, he will go out of his way to make you happy. Alegria is clean, comfortable, and the rooms are great. George helped us with places to go out to eat and more friendly people (just...

My friend and I stayed at Alegria B&B as we, half-heartedly, arrived back to Alajuela for our last night in Costa Rica. George, the owner, keeps a clean and flora-filled environment, an over all charming establishment. Guests can sit back and exchange adventure stories in the living where George invites all to make themselves at home. We got a clean...

Like someone else said we came as a visitor left as a friend. This is a great place to stay for anyone wanting a convenient clean and safe place to stay near the airport. George was more than helpful and suggested great places to eat and shop. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Alegria for a couple of nights (on entering and leaving Costa Rica). It's a really convenient place to stay for the airport (only 5 minutes away) and George (the American owner) is a great guy who goes above and beyond in terms of hotel service. For example, my girlfriend's flight was delayed until around 1 a.m. and...

Alegria Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place to stay. We spent four nights at Alegria, and George was an attentive and gracious host the entire time. He picked us up at the airport, drove us back at the end of our stay, and provided great recommendations each day. Our first evening at Alegria, George invited us on his trip...
