This hotel completely saved the end of our 2 week trip in Costa Rica. When stepping onto the airport shuttle at 5am, my younger kiddo suddenly started throwing up. Food poisoning. She couldn't get on the early morning flight so after sending my husband and other daughter home, we returned to the hotel to figure out a plan. The hotel staff was AMAZING. They got us back into our original room that we'd checked out of, and let us stay there for the rest of the morning at no charge, including a second breakfast for me (no food for the kiddo of course). They spent endless time helping me call around to doctors and place orders at the pharmacy, never losing patience or becoming annoyed at how much time I required. After the right medication and a morning of quiet and comfortable rest in the very nice hotel room we were able to get on an afternoon flight and make it home that night. I have no doubt it wouldn't have been possible without the staff at Hampton Inn. THANK YOU!…

Very close to SJO so I would recommend it for those that have an early flight or arriving late from SJO. Plus, it has a free shuttle. The beds were comfortable, and the big shower was welcome at end of my trip. The only thing I didn’t like was after a long and tiring shuttle ride, the loud dance music when I arrived was not welcome. It made me not want to spend time in the lobby. That said, those arriving at the hotel at the beginning of their trip appreciated it more.

We spent the night before an early flight . Hotel was clean and comfortable beds. The staff were super friendly and spoke English. The bar area was nice . Convenient 24 hr shuttles to the airport . Close to the airport. I would highly recommend Hampton Inn near the San Jose Costa Rica airport.

We usually stay at a resort hotel but this was a quick over night before very early am flights. The hotel is very modern and clean and very very reasonably priced! Def would stay here again!! The check in was very fast (online checkin really was a waste as you check in again when you arrive). The clerk was pleasant and clear and had all the things we forgot! Bar restaurant open until 10:30pm

This hotel was very convenient as we got into San Jose late at night and this was about a 3 min ride on their complimentary shuttle that picked us up right outside the airport doors. The rooms feel like hotel rooms, but with kind of more of an apartment kind of feel which makes it feel more homey. The staff was super friendly and helpful and even held my sunglasses when I left them in the lobby. The free breakfast in the morning was GREAT. So many options and the food was the best hotel breakfast I've had.

Stayed over night before catching a plane home. Didn’t know what to expect for the reviews on tripadvisor and I have to say I was impressed. The rooms are large with all the amenities. The grounds are kept clean and the reception staff very friendly. The best was the breakfast that was included. It had all the options. I would highly recommend to anyone staying overnight to catch a plane.

We stayed here as a 1 day stopover during our trip in Costa Rica to wait and pick up our friends who were joining us from the US. As we were there for 1 night, we didn't pick anything too fancy but it's a really clean, modern and convenient hotel close to the airport. There is a laundry room also and we paid around $5 usd to get a huge pile of clothes washed and dried... amazing! Breakfast was also incuded which we didn't expect which was nice. If you want something else there is a Denny's a few minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, very happy with this hotel.. great proximity to the airport, clean and modern with a laundry room with reasonable prices to boot too!

I don’t understand all of the great reviews for this hotel. It was adequate in my view but I would never stay here if it wasn’t a necessity due to an early flight. It was clean but loud (both the sound of planes and the air conditioner). I found the beds uncomfortable and the pool was so much in need of updating that my kids declined going in. It’s perfectly fine in a pinch but I wouldn’t put it higher than that.
