We loved our time at the Hotel Trapp Family Country Inn. The staff is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and everyone we encountered went above and beyond our expectations. They were very conscientious of accommodating our two young children. When we arrived in the evening close to the time the restaurant closed, the staff made meals for us and brought them to...

Based on reviews and convenience to the airport, we booked 2 rooms at the Trapp Family Inn ahead of our trip. During our travels in Costa Rica we had a very bad accident that left one of our party in the hospital for the remainder of our trip. On our last night, another in our party stayed at the hospital...

Hands down the best hotel to stay in after a flight. Friendly staff and a old world hacienda vibe all add to its charm. The rooms all have a balcony that face the lush well kept grounds and the food is classic tico fare. It is an oasis next to the airport.

Your first impression of this hidden gem most likely will be one of surprise, as you travel through some dubious looking neighborhoods in San Jose before turning down what looks like a country road and through the large gate into the resort. The facility has two buildings, which looks if they came out of a movie set in Morocco, or...

In the middle of an industrial area minutes from the airport you will find a small piece of paradise. There may be no TV or mini bar in your room, but this inn has a special charm. It is a little like stepping back in time to smell the flowers. The staff are eager to help, very polite and friendly....

It was in the woods off the main road. Very beautiful scenery and the rooms were awesome and large. The mattress was very comfortable. The pool is cleaned every morning but it was a little too cold to use. They need to put on their website but no is smoking allowed on the property, not just the rooms. The only...

This hotel truly is 10 minutes from San Jose. We booked one night here prior to our 6am departure for that reason. This is a typical costa rican hotel. If you are looking for something fancy, this would not be it. It is small and quaint with a nice restaurant, a pool and beautiful gardens surrounding it. As our GPS...

Location is ok. Hotel looks ok. We were here for 3 nights. Noisy toilet. No hot water in the shower. But the most horrible thing were the man and woman at the reception. Service without a smile. Very negative energy. Never again.

Chose this hotel as near the San Jose airport. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Hidden inside the city of Alejuela, it is quiet, has a beautiful tropical yard, great food, and excellent staff. Will go back there if I make it back to Costa Rica

This hotel is great and so handy for the airport - wish we had stayed here on arrival in Costa Rica as well as on departure. They provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport and you travel on a back road and avoid all the heavy traffic on the main road. The rooms are huge and immaculate,...
