I had spent the prior three days in the jungle with no a/c and a mosquito net bed cover....when I arrived it felt and looked like The 4 Seasons at the bottom of a volcano......staff (my favorite- Roberto) was so extremely accommodating and knew my schedule better than me. The valet carried my luggage to my unbelievable bungalow cabin with...

We stayed 3 nights at hotel lomas de volcán early this month. We stayed in one of the cabins and had an awesome time. The pool was clean and gave us an awesome view of the volcano. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.

Unique views, seclusion and a garden environment in one of the most appealing and natural areas of Costa Rica. The place is planted to accommodate birds while the private porches accommodate birdwatchers.

Secluded, yet close to town. The property is beautiful. The staff is attentive. Our bungalow was gorgeous. Front and back porches, vaulted ceilings, giant bathroom - it was roomy and cozy. Who knew that was possible? Our towels and tissues were origami delights. They offered us a menu of activities that they could facilitate for us. We took the Sloth...

Private cabins with covered patio facing the volcano. Very clean and private. Hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Cappuccino was an extra cost. Coffee in room only had powered cream. Housekeeping staff kept the room very clean and made a towel decoration-a swan! Room temperature was fine. Decor was lovely. I would stay here...

When we found out our tour group switched our hotel to his one, we were disappointed because the other hotel looked nice in photos we saw, but when we got here, our disappointed vanished quickly. The drive to the reception, the gardens, the ambience, all felt and looked great. One of our biggest concerns was whether there was air conditioning...

First time to Costa Rica family of 4 (grown children). This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Everybody was friendly and courteous. The grounds looked like they came out of a movie set! Close to downtown, yet not walkable as the hotel is set about 2 miles from main road. You can't walk the 2 miles as it's steep and muddy. I...

This was not the hotel we were originally booked into, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We had our own private bungalo with two queen beds, a view of the volcano out the back deck and a view of the gardens from the front deck. The room was huge with a very large bathroom (could have fit 7 or 8...

Very nice bungalows that are quite private in a beautiful setting that gives a "small scale feeling", although the hotel is relatively large scale (for Costa Rica). Views of the Volcano (if not from the bungalow, then at least from the property) unless there are low hanging clouds. Friendly service at reception and in the restaurant. Only disappointment was with...
