The hotel is very central in La Fortuna, you can walk to many nice restaurants. Also if the weather permits you have a view to the volcano Arenal. Very basic breakfast but good, room also very basic but with a good hot water shower. Hotel also has a parking lot which is free.

Good value! Lovely room and very clean, friendly staff, manrique the receptionist was a great help with organising trips and transport to our next place. The only let down was the roads were very noisy from about 5am but if you go to bed early and get up early like a tico then this shouldn't bother you much. Great hub...

Stayed for one night. Girl at the counter was exceptional in her dealing. Room was a lot better than our expectations. Very comfortable and in direct sight with the volcano. Secure car park. We had an accident as sink overflowed (entirely our fault). We were in town for 2 hours and came back and found room flooded. The girl (Mercedez)...

There was nothing that "wow'd" us about this hotel. We had an okay stay and a beautiful view of Arenal Volcano but the hotel needs some updating (new paint to hide stains, renovated bathrooms, etc.). The breakfast is buffer style and was certainly the least favorite of our trip although edible.

I paid up a bit to get a room with a view. Its nice waking up, throwing open the curtains and seeing that monster staring at you. Pretty basic room, bed was ok (I'm 6'2" 270 so I have issues with them not beign long enough or strong enough almost everywhere), great shower, the room was super clean, a/c mounted...

The rooms are sparse but clean and you are in a perfect spot to explore the town. We had a volcano view room which was amazing. Manrique always answered any of our questions and was always happy to help. He works very hard at customer service and I think he needs an assistant. Breakfast was included and was the same...

We stayed here during our two day stay in Arenal. The hotell staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and ok. I'm so glad we stayed at Hotel La Fortuna. It's conveniently located in the town, and it was easy to walk to restaurants. It was also easy (and inexpensive) to take a taxi to the local attractions like the hot springs (we did Ecotermales), Zip lining (we did Mundo Aventura), and the cacao plantation tour (Rainforest tour). We could have...
