This is a family-run hotel and I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and I got good advice on some hiking which I was glad about! They organized a local driver for me to get cheaper transfers around to the places I wanted to hike. I felt very comfortable staying here on my own. The... More

This place was awesome! Right downtown, so a great base for so many adventures. The extended family runs the place and all are extremely helpful with tips on things to do, making phone calls, even setting up reservations for tours into the surrounding areas. Rooms are nice, big counsel balcony for snacks, drinks, or just kicking back and looking at... More

The best part of this place was that second floor terrace/courtyard that is open to all guests. We took full advantage for happy hour and take-out dinner one night [there is a liquor store next door and a good soda across the street]. Very friendly staff. Only negative was that our room had a toilet problem - did not flush... More

Great hotel in the centre of town, which is perfect for travellers without their own transport. The room (room 33) was spacious and clean. We had a fantastic view out to the volcano, but couldn't see a thing because of the weather! Our room looked over the street, but it wasn't noisy. Really comfy beds. There's a nice terrace where... Very nice, modest, clean hotel. with very helpful staff and a wonderful typical Costa Rican breakfast included. The rooms are clean with A/C. Ours had a full front view of Arenal Volcano. The staff spoke English. The location is close to the town center in downtown La Fortuna, a quiet, safe, tourist friendly yet without giving up their national traditions.

Clean room with air conditioning. Close to eating and shopping, but I wouldn't walk around at night time. Its about a mile to mile 1/2 to the waterfall, not a long walk but not a short one either. It's humid the closer you get, so make sure you have water.
