Clouds and rain did not get in the way of a gorgeous three days at Arenal. I've wanted to see the rain forest for much of my 60 years, I was not disappointed. Glorious, lush, beautiful, stunning - words just don't do this ecosystem justice. Bring Ponchos, go on the hanging bridges walk, see the waterfalls, and soak in the...

Loved the bungalow style rooms and the food was great quality...... highly recommended..... the rooms were clean. The only set back was the fact my kids were in the adjacent room but there is no direct pathway to get to their room other than walking completely around. To get to the front desk was a long walk - but they...

3 wonderful days and nights. Nice nice private lodge to stay in shuttle service if don't want to walk to the reception or to meals (if tired or raining). Breakfast was great. Grounds are beautiful. Thermal pools and swimming area is very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals were somewhat pricy but nice. Water is drinkable on the...

The Arenal Resort and Spa is in a lovely tropical setting with nice spa area for yoga and massage, great heated pools with waterfalls cascading down to where you sit. The swim up bar is fun and staff friendly. Our room had two queen sized beds and a garden bath. Preferred adult resort. We would definitely return to this resort....

We were there (6 of us) for three days. It did rain the whole time and we never saw the volcano, so that was disappointing. I asked the locals about the weather and they said there is no dry season in La Fortuna, only wet and wetter. Dry season is for the coast only. For the most part I liked...

I was really nice. This was my second time in this hotel. And we really love the place. There are just a few things: 1. We arrived the hotel at morning, and the staff told us our rooms would be available at 1 pm. We were going to be hosted in three different rooms. One of them were ready at...

Stayed here January 7-11. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Booked as part of a tour package, and knew it would be a 3 1/2-rated resort, it certainly lived up to that standard. Really liked the bungalow-style rooms, with their skylit showers. The service here is excellent, which I now know is wonderful trait of the Costa Rican people. Our package...

It's so hard to book a hotel by pictures and reviews, but we booked this place. I what to say we greeted with friendly staff and a fruit drink in the lobby. The room are like little duplex units with a car parking and small front porch area. The grounds is very clean and green....Our room was very modern, within...

The place is very nice to look at, but I found that the staff lies to your face. It took 3 tries to repair broken air conditioning that was busted the day we got there. We left a day early, gave them 24 hours notice, and now they refuse to refund our money, claiming we have to pay a penalty......

The pros: The staff is very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The grounds are amazingly beautiful, especially if you are lucky enough to see Arenal in the backdrop of this very picturesque setting. We were there in November, heart of the rainy season, and still got to see it completely out 1 of the 3 days we were there, the rest...
