This place was amazing! We had a master suite with hot spring spa it was truly beautiful. The 2 rooms were perfect for our family of 5. The master bath was gorgeous. Our view was breath taking every morning. We loved the different temp pools and delicious breakfasts. Yoga in the morning completed the zen feel. Even through it was a more peaceful hotel my teen boys loved it and didn't want to leave! The walk to our bungalow was well lit and took less than 5 minutes. Tye restaurants were good and convenient. If you want to go to town its an easy to get ten minute taxi drive. For about $10. And the town is quaint and shops stay open in the evenings. We loved everything about this place. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We had 2 adjacent rooms for 4 nights, the closest ones to the pools/restaurants which was perfect for our elderly mom. The landscaping is amazing, and the only wildlife we found in CR was here. We paid $300/pn w/ breakfast (I see now it's listing at $600, that's crazy to me). The rooms were big, beds perfect including 2 types of pillows so we finally found a hotel w/ memory foam. The covered porches at our rooms were a great surprise, and we had amazing view of volcano. There was a bottle of wine, beer soda and a dessert tray waiting us on arrival. Loved the thermal pools and being able to eat at/in the pool. the sushi bar serves other cooked asian food and has another menu of food options. The Italian restaurant was good and excellent brick oven pizza. The CR restaurant is where you get their huge breakfast buffet, and we ate dinner there once (food pretty good). We arranged all our activities direct and found when we asked for a ride to the coast, it was $391 vs $200 we arranged on our own. Uber worked great for us, and highly recommend (except around LIR airport). …
We just left this magical place this morning, and are already planning our fourth trip back. This resort is stunning, and the hot springs are so relaxing. What makes this resort so fantastic is the staff. We were greeted so warmly by Edward & Alan-they are both so kind. We stayed in our favorite room and everything from beginning to end was perfect. We enjoyed seeing Julian again-what a personality he has! We loved the addition of the new coffee shop, and the breakfast was delicious, as usual. Every interaction we had with any staff was positive. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else while in La Fortuna. This resort does not sell day passes to people staying elsewhere, so the hot springs/pool area never feels crowded. We can’t wait to return next March! Pura Vida!
This is a large resort style hotel. If you like that sort of hotel, you’ll probably like it. You stay in bungalows in large grounds and it’s a short walk to the main reception - although they will pick you up in golf buggies if you ask. The bedrooms are fine, a bit dated, although soundproofing to the other guest rooms through the adjoining wall is non existent so you hear every noise. Service is friendly and efficient if not very personal, which is not surprising given the size of the place. Food seemed good, pizza were excellent. The hot springs are really like a resort swimming pool with a couple of swim up bars. Nice enough for an hour or two but not really the hot springs experience! Overall, this place is fine as a stopover while you do things in La Fortuna but it’s not very special feeling.…
This resort was amazing! Its pool is fed by hot water from the nearby hot springs, making it super pleasant. The pool has 3 levels surrounded by lush tropical plants. The top level is the hottest and flows into the lower pools, cooling a little at each subsequent level. The rooms have amazing views of the Arenal volcano. We found the pool bar food menu better than the traditional Costa Rican restaurant, although the food on the menu at their on-site Italian restaurant sounded amazing. Unfortunately, we weren't there long enough to test it out. The rooms are very nice, roomy and clean. The beds were very comfortable too.
Lovely staff, they all were so happy to serve you and talk with you. Food at all the restaurants were amazing. Pretty rooms and pool area. No disappointments in the 5 days we stayed here. Highly recommend.
We loved our time at Arenal Springs Resort. Its a beautiful resort, very clean and friendly staff. The location is great....there are so many activities to choose from in the area. The pools and hot springs at the hotel were great for relaxing and downtime. Breakfast was good, for dinner we definitely liked the italian restaurant over the main restaurant. Our room was pretty standard, it was nice to be able to park the car right in front. Only negative was that you could exactly hear the conversation of your next door neighbor...as if they were in the same room with you.
Absolutely wonderful. The hot springs waterfalls were wonderful. The service was perfect. The grounds were beautiful. I had a chocolate massage. It was fabulous. Served tea afterwards. I can not say enough nice things about the resort. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to be pampered and enjoy a relaxing vacation. The town of La fortunate was a short taxi ride away and loved it also.
Such a beautiful resort! The hot springs are so nice! Pretty rock lined rivers with a few different temperature springs we loved being able to switch between them. I loved the swim up bars with food and drink and friendly staff we could chat with. They have 3 different restaurants with extensive menus. The included breakfast is huge selection and exquisite! The landscaping is beautiful so many tropical plants and birds. Staff is excellent and friendly. Not to mention the view of the Arenal volcano right there! We only saw bottom half of it below the clouds but wow is the rainforest location there gorgeous! The hotels are so cute also, what a perfect resort! Only thing is they do not have their own pathways or grounds of rainforest or canopy bridge, or animal enclosures or butterfly/bird houses where you could possible see more wildlife, just fyi but they had beautiful grounds around the pool and hotel houses where we saw hummingbirds and other birds and we heard howler monkeys early one morning!…
From the staff to the food to the accommodations, everything is amazing. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed. There are a ton of highly rated excursions, restaurants, and attractions very close as well.
