We had our own rental car otherwise it would have been hard to get to out of town. The weather was cool but we enjoyed the wood fireplace each evening. The staff were very hard working, but were friendly and always gave us 100 percent customer satisfaction. Dress in layers as it can be cool and cloudy in this area.

Nice close location to Poas. Friendly staff. On site parking. Thin walls separated us from a family who liked to yell instead of talking to each other. There were single cabins available, but they put us both in a cabin that shared a wall. Why? We didn't build a fire. Didn't feel the need to. Our neighbors did. They were...

Very sweet place; the tiny houses are neatly done and match the very green environment. You can park near the houses and are able to light up a fire in case you feel cold. Hummingbirds may be seen from the beds getting some sirup. A quite and nice place!

We stayed for one night at the hotel. The chalet was very beautiful and the fireplace is a nice touch as we seemed in the alps. The grounds are magnificent and the garden well maintained. However, we reached at 9pm and there was nobody, everybody was gone. Fortunatly there was a guardian that gave us the keys and some fuel...

In the route of the Volcan Poas are many options to eat and some to stay but most of them looks like "local". This one just has a great looking and we decide to try the Restaurant first. Basically the food & prices are OK. But our complain is about the attention we received. No one came with a "good...

Starting with the positives: the hut we stayed in ($70 without breakfast) was gorgeous, with a nice bed, TV and shower; the open fire (wood and fuel provided) is a fun touch; the views were incredible. But our stay was spoilt slightly by the bizarre opening times at the restaurant - 12pm-7pm. So if you want food outside of these...

The place has decent cabinas but... The owners have put human traps around their trout ponds that are intended to mame. I was told to avoid the first entrance to the trout pond and use the second which I did. This was due to a "dangerous hole" near the first entrance. I was not told that it was a covered...
