I was traveling with 18 high school students and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome Liz and her family gave us. Siloe Lodge was the bright spot of our Costa Rica visit after roughing it in the Osa Peninsula for a week. We arrived limping, with bruises, scabs and worn down, but Siloe Lodge welcomed us and healed our...

Breakfast is an example of great food and service. The area is relatively close to the lagoon, rivers and is great for mountain bike rides. It...

Overrall a good experience. Room 1, 8 and 9 are evidently the best rooms. For the price, it's wonderful. The scenery from the lodge is outstanding and the hostess, trained at the Marriott in San Jose, knows about service. Recommended!

We stumbled upon Siloe quite by accident, and I am so glad. They had a cabina available (the rest were all occupied--good for them!). The cabina was so cute! It appeared to have been recently updated. New outlets, fresh paint, and the bathroom was so nice. The outdoor eating area was well appointed, and they even had a pool table...

We have an active family who loves biking, kayaking, rafting, hiking and exploring. When we came to the Turrialba Valley (Costa Rica's perfect valley, bar none) we wanted to find an economical snug harbor to pull into and base our explorations out of. We passed their walled in entrance several times and one day decided to pull in and check...

“I'd go with one of the two cabins -- just because it feels like you have your own place. But the rooms as part of the house complex are nice too. We've stayed in both. All have private bathrooms I think.”
