Mystica is absolutely AMAZING! I stayed here March 2015 and was lucky enough to go back again February 2016. YES it's that magical! From the second we turned into the gates I knew I had made the right choice. There is a sense of calmness as soon as you step onto the grounds of Mystica. The views are spectacular, food...

My husband and I travelled to this beautiful place for a week and it is all about nature and natural things just the way we like it. The food is garden to table, so fresh and tasty. Wifi in reception area, no tv in room which is perfect Coz there is so much more than that specially when travelling rather...

This was my second stay at Mystica in under a year because I just had to come back. All of the owners and staff are so committed to making this space so special. There are always fresh flowers around the main restaurant/lodge and a friendly smile to greet you and help you book travel, give you directions, or just chat.....

I traveled with three friends to Mystica. We flew into Liberia and we were lucky to have Flaco pick us up and drive us to the property. Everyone was extremely welcoming, and the location is absolutely stunning. The room we stayed in was simple, but worked well for four young women (1 queen + 1 bunk bed). The food at...

Mystica Formula: Italian + Canadian + Costa Rica = Tranquility. Beauty. Heart. Don’t book the Mystica IF you want the typical North American, impersonal, cookie-cutter, big hotel chain. However, if you are seeking a laid-back, all-natural, scenic, friendly, minimally invasive technological experience*, Mystica is for you. PEOPLE: (Genuinely friendly) The tri-lingual staff exuded Pura Vida. Our last morning we engaged...

We stayed at Mystica for two nights. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. The wind did keep us up most of the night since it kept making the door move in the frame. The main lobby area is nice to hangout in the evenings since it had a fire going and the evenings were...

Our family of 4, with 2 teenagers spent 3 nights at Mystica. Food at the restaurant was something we looked forward to every night . Breakfast is included. We ate dinner at the restaurant all 3 nights. After dinner we played cards in the "lodge". The rooms are functional and not too big, but they are super clean, nice linens,...

We stopped at Mystica for one night en-route to Fortuna and it was cold and rainy so the log fire in the dining area was very welcome. Mystica caters for a specific clientele, sadly I am not one of the target market....it is a nice place and the Italian owner is a really nice guy but in my opinion there...

Francesco and his team made us feel incredibly warm and welcomed upon our arrival at the Hotel Mystica. The lodgings were just as we expected, small and humble but clean and cozy with all the amenities we need. The special addition was an incredible view of Lake Arenal from the main house and restaurant. The hotel is very well located...

I had the most amazing and relaxing time at Mystica...it is gorgeous there! Beyond the stunning view of the lake and Volcano and meeting the delightful staff and owners the room was outstanding! We stayed in the jungle room and you can spend hours watching the monkeys from your room, the patio or the outdoor shower...it was beautiful. We also...

Mystica Hotel is a tropical paradise with an excellent Italian restaurant, wonderful yoga and meditation classes in a forest sanctuary, a detoxifying infrared sauna, a dipping pool with a waterfall, and tree-top therapies such as massage and Reiki. Mystica is conveniently close to all of the great adventures and water sports that Lake Arenal offers: windsurfing, kayaking and fishing, excursions to Arenal Volcano including canopy tour and hot springs (40 km/25 miles from the hotel) and Tenorio National Park with its world famous Rio Celeste waterfall hike (35 km/22 miles from the hotel). Mystica Hotel is especially designed for travelers who want to relax and/or be in contact with nature. The lodge sits atop a rolling green hill and is surrounded by lush gardens.
