This is a lovely place with very comfortable accommodations, good food, congenial bar, very nice spa and gift shop and great views over the valley to the volcano. Some of the rooms are up pretty steep paths/roads, but the staff will give you a lift in golf carts. It is isolated, so you will need a car or taxi to...

We enjoyed one night at the Lost Iguana. The view of Arenal Volcano was superb, the staff was kind. The trails on the property are well kept and very pretty and we saw Howler Monkeys, tucán birds and a few other lovely animals. We would come again.

The hotel is located down a secluded track well away from the road. We were taken to our room in a golf buggy as it was a distance from reception up a very steep hill, if you've got mobility issues this hotel is not for you as it's on the side of a steep hill, hence the views!! The room...

We stayed here in November 2016 and it was one of the most exotic places we've ever stayed in and our favorite out of all the places we visited in Costa Rica. The resort is just beautiful! We were fortunate to stay in a large two bedroom apartment and enjoyed every second! The outdoor jacuzzi on our balcony and the...

Our family of five (kids ages 14, 12, and 9) had a great stay at this resort. It is a in a secluded location with gorgeous scenery and views of the volcano. The casita was spacious and comfortable and the pool area was a great spot to hang out, although they do need more seating around the pool. The nine...

Loves this resort!!! The view was spectacular!! Our room was amazing with a king bed, outdoor jacuzzi tub, and a double head outside stone shower. "Just watch out for the jumping tigers." Lol! A short and steep walk down to the restaurant and pool was beautiful small nature walk. Wonderful pool with swim up bar and with great poolside service....

Lost Iguana is conveniently located for visiting attractions near the north side of Lake Arenal, and the volcano park, but nicely secluded in a rain forest area. Restaurant food was good, particular breakfast. Our room was wonderful: double shower in an open area lined with plants, and overhead screen; patio view of foliage and volcano and private whirlpool; comfortable king...

I would advise you to only stay here if you have a rented car. It is a good 30 minute drive (or $35 taxi) to La Fortuna, and with so many good things to do in the non-walkable surrounding area you want to be able to access them, particularly as the food menu here, while fine, is limited and not...

The suites with private hot tubs and amazing views are beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Grounds are very well taken care of and you can see and hear animals all day and night. Breakfast that is included is delicious. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the dinner. The only downfall is poor internet connection. Will definitely return!
