Liberia is not a tourist destination, just a stopover, and we stayed at the Hotel Liberia 2 days when we arrived in Costa Rica and 2 days at the end of our stay. Both times we had a basic, clean room (upstairs rooms have more light). The breakfast was excellent and served in their very comfortable restaurant (part of the...

We stay here two nights and were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Hotel Liberia is close to two good restaurants and within walking distance of the bus terminal. The rooms are small but comfortable. The only drawbacks were no hot water in the shower and lack of cross ventilation in the room.

I wanted to add an extra day to my trip by coming a day early. So working in a hotel myself I emailed directly to see if it was possible to book the extra night checking in Jan 26th as I had a reservation with booking.com for jan 27th. They replied said not a problem and you can cancel your...

This was a handy place to spend first night after arriving at the airport. The room was basic but clean with soap and towel provided. Location is a bit noisy from traffic and wind. Also shower was cold. Really friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Would stay again

Before I say anything else, I will stress that my stay here was super cheap. They were also perfectly nice, with a lot of the staff being very helpful. The location is good (if you can find it - maybe don't arrive at night like I did), it's very clean and they'll happily sell you a cold and reasonably priced...

In Costa Rica you need ac, period. Any hotel that doesn't have it is insane. Great location thiugh, lots of shopping in the area if you walk around. Water stopped running mid shower for me which was frustrating. The place has its own restaurant with pretty good food and the staff are pretty friendly. Wouldn't stay here again though. Rooms...

My girlfriend and I only stayed for one night, but it was the perfect place to do so. The beds were nice and big and we even had a TV in our room! The hotel was also able to pick us up late from the airport without any issues whatsoever - a very big convenience for us! Just one thing...

My wife and I chose to stay at Hotel Liberia based on other TA reviews. We only stayed one night while returning from Nicaragua to catch our flight out the next day as the hotel is centrally located and convenient from both the bus station and to the airport. It's a fairly easy 6 - 7 block walk from the...

We didn´t stay here but we ate breakfast here a number of times. Good portions, price compares to other breakfast places. Super lovely fruit plate. Excellent huevos rancheros, as was the fried eggs in green tomato sauce. Great coffee, unlimited refills. Not what sure happened on our third visit but coffee was the pits. We said we didn´t like it,...

We were looking for a budget hotel for one night while we were in transit from Samara to Granada, and this hotel seemed to meet our needs. Arriving after several hours on the local buses, we found a taxi and for a $2 ride, we made it to the hotel safe and sound. The staff on duty were friendly and...
