I stayed here with a friend, just planning on passing through Liberia on my way to the coast. I ended up staying for two nights however and quite enjoyed this clean, cozy little hostel that's right on the edge of town. It's right down the street from the bus stop to boot. Jesus and the staff will take care of...

Really conveniently located little hostel. Very well stocked, clean outdoor kitchen and garden with hammocks and chairs to chill out. Loads of information on how to get to your next destination/tours etc. Cannot stress how perfectly located this place is, you can basically see it from the bus station. I stayed in a 2 bed dorm which although was pretty...

Truly a great place to stay in Liberia. Very clean, comfortable and friendly. Rooms, kitchen, washrooms, common room all very clean. The owners went out of their way to find us transportation and well priced excursions. We could not have asked for a better place to stay upon arrival in Costa Rica!! Would definitely stay again! And they put up...

I had a great time at the hostel. Both owners were open to talk to, with good sense of humor and happy to help. Room and the hostel were very clean and all the common areas cleaned every day. Basic equipment in the open kitchen to make meals and relax in hammocks. Rooms kept in the nice temperature for sleeping....

I stayed in the dorm with AC because the other dorm has a window towards the very noisy street. The whole hostel was very clean and neat, the kitchen very well stocked. Location very good as well. The downside was though that the dorm is very tiny and got very packed when it was full. There was almost no room...

Thank you for writing a review. We are pleased you found the hostel clean and well located and the kitchen well stocked. We are disappointed to hear about your concerns about the "room options". I guess the first point I would like to address is the type of room you chose. You chose the dorm which is the cheapest option....

400 Characters is not enough to describe it. We had the PLEASURE of staying at Dodero for 2 weeks ending early September. Jesus, Shawn and their staff (Notably Felix, even though he speaks only spanish) Were the best I've ever seen in hospitality! And I've worked hotels/hostels over the world. The kitchen is stocked with seasoning and oil for your...

As i discovered trying to get to Monteverde from Nicaragua in a day isn't possible so we had to spend a night in Liberia. The hostel is conveniently located about 200m from the bus station and is clean, comfortable and has AC at no extra cost. Originally the manager Jesus was friendly and explained in detail how to get the...

Thank you for writing a a review. We are happy you found the hostel conveniently located and enjoyed the clean, comfortable rooms. I would like to clarify that the room you booked was with AC and is a slightly higher price than one with a fan. I just want to be clear AC is not included at no extra charge....

Pretty polarising aspects to this Hostel! Pros: Facilities are what you need, info on tours, good location & friendly staff. Cons: 1) The main entrance is locked & the worker needs to come & let you in OR OUT! You have hit a bell and wait. No hastle if they're free but huge issue if they aren't. We came back...

Thank you for writing a review. We are pleased you found what you needed, found the staff friendly and the location good. We were concerned about your delay being let in and out and spoke with the staff member on duty that day and checked the surveillance footage. When you arrived he was checking guests in and you waited approximately...

My friend and I were arriving at the Liberia airport late in the evening and needed to catch an early morning bus to San Jose. Hospedaje Dodero was able to arrange a shuttle to pick us up at the airport for $20. Jose, our driver was there waiting for us with my name on a sign. Very friendly, good driver,...

There is nothing special about this place, but also nothing to complain about. It is a convenient option for Liberia, close to both the bus station and a npbig supermarket. The owner is nice. You have to ring a doorbell every time you want to leave or go in.
