Room was old and dingy looking. The shower was like a mouse peeing in your foot. Water didn't even come away from the wall far enough to wet your head. The water in the Jacuzzi was cloudy, I wouldn't go in. The pool had green mold on the bottom. I expected more from the reviews it got. The grounds are... More

We showed up without a reservation, and they had plenty of rooms, the rate they gave us was higher than the internet rates, and they wouldn't honor the discount rates online. It was a convenient location, close to international bus stops. The room was okay, clean, but with many spots on the walls that had been patched, where they moved... More

This is a great place to start and/or end your Costa Rican vacation! It is in the heart of Liberia within walking distance to everything you could possibly need (grocery, pharmacy, restaurant, souvenir shops, banks, etc.) Each room has it's own programmable A/C. The rooms were large, clean and had comfortable bedding. The wifi is good throughout the property. The... More

We felt it was a good value for the money spent. The hotel felt very safe, the front desk staff spoke English, and although they had a problem with our reservation (they set aside two-person room for a family reservation) the front end clerks fixed it right away. The hotel is old but as others mentioned, full of character. It... More

Having read the other reviews, most are pretty fair and none are untrue. Depending on your budget, expectations and how your head is screwed on after a day of traveling, this a 3 to 4 star experience. We stayed here on a Friday, our first night in Costa Rica after an evening arrival at the airport. The area surrounding the... More

We stayed 2 nights at this place and it was great. Staff friendly and helpfull even if one time the lady at the frontdesk was not speaking english and my spanish is not so great. We tried to explain what we wanted and we understood each other. Breakfast is included and was taken at the restaurant near the lobby. Food... More

Clean, basic rooms face a nicely landscaped courtyard/pool. Most have back door access to the gated parking. Breakfast at the attached open air restaurant was included in the price. Food was good. Several enormous ancient trees separated the dining area from the highway out front. The building shows some wear, but has some grace and charm. Friendly, helpful staff. We... More

I went recently to stay at Boyeros. While I was not expecting a lot given the first night at the hotel after landing in Liberia. Given the cost, it was pricey for what was in the hotel. It had a nice pool and the hotel is constructed with good intention. But as I said, it felt like I could have... More

The room was very tired and in need of an upgrade. The pool area is nice and breakfast was fine. The barbed wire enclosure and guards gave it kind of a compound feel, but it was safe at least. We stayed 2 nights which was more than enough.
