The hotel is more of several apartments calm with good atmosphere. The receptionist helped us a lot to find cool places in the area and he is very kind! It has clean toilet and you get towels. It doesn't have a kitchen just water fridge and some dishes. It has a parking area which is very important. The room itself...

This was our first stop in CR and we'd heard so many traveller stories of just how crazy expensive the country was. So when we found a double room here with towels and a TV for $24 we were pretty happy. The rooms were cute with old fashioned objects as accessories, plus shelves and tables etc to put things on...

We slept there 3 nights because we wanted to visit the national Parc. Unfortunately it was closed because of the storm. The owner is really nice and gives you a lot of advice what you can do and he speaks good English. The garden is okay, unfortunately there are no hammocks and it's very dry. We stayed in a 3...

This place was as cheap as you'll get in CR without being a dump. It's clean, cozy, and has everything you need. It's great for a quick stay as it doesn't have a kitchen - just a fridge, microwave & kettle. It's location is great - right near the best restaurants in the guidebook as well as the bus station....

$24US with shared bath - don´t expect any luxuries. Place needs a really really good clean, dust and dirt build up everywhere. Pillows are atrocious. Courtyard nice to sit in. Denis very helpful with information about Liberia and what to see, also with arrangements for transfers.

We arrived late into Liberia airport and had booked this for a one night stopover before continuing down to Monteverde. The room was extremely basic, clean but certainly no frills. Thank goodness for the fan - it was so humid and airless in the room and even with the fan it was still pretty hot! Shared bathroom was fine, clean...

This was definitely one the cheapest options in Liberia. The rooms are also private which is a nice change from dorm rooms. However, my room faced the courtyard and it was quite noisy and light throughout night. You can also hear everything from the other rooms. Also, while I was there, the water was cut off, so no use of...

This place won't be for the four-star crowd, but for veteran backpackers passing through Liberia, La Posada del Tope is a great choice. The decor of the place is funky with a lot of old junk repurposed as architectural pieces, like the old coffee grinder handles used as a toilet paper roll holder. The owner is an artist. The staff...

Okay the place is cheap (we paid $25 for private room with bath) and fan) but that does not mean that it should be dirty. There were smears on the bathroom wall, the toilet bowl had brown stains and the wash basin was falling off the wall, and it wasn't clean. The bathroom door was one half of a saloon...
